Lovely Victorian style house high ceilings each room has a fridge and aircon hairdryer tea coffee tray electric blankets we are pet friendly we are 7 min walk from the beach white sands and lovely restaurants 30 min from V& A Waterfront and Table Mountain 2 hours from nearest Game Park which we organise for u 1 hour from penguin beach 2 hours from Cape Point 7 min from Strand Golf Course just over 1 hour from Hermanus where u see the Whales in September 10 min from Stellenbosch wine farms and lots more
A great stay near the beach

The house has a lot of character and charm and is a convenient walk to what we think is the best beach in the Cape Town area. Gerry and Harriet made us feel welcome and were quite generous and helpful - and served great breakfasts as well. Highly recommended!

I was pleased the other venues were booked up and so, as a result I found Ruxmian Lodge. You're close to the sea, shops and places to eat, without the noise that goes with it. When I was there, there was no selling of liquor, the comfortable lounge was purely for relaxation. My review is a back-dated review for June 2019, prior to the pandemic, so I cannot answer the related questions, However I feel this venue is well worth consideration and I highly recommend it. Gail

A surprising jewell
Reviewed By Nico KHaving waited for the last minute to book my accommodation, I was surprised to find a vacancy. This venue is within walking distance of the beach. It had a cute swimming pool and a delightful shaded are outside. Rooms have air-conditioning ( heatwave outside) reasonably sized room, full bathroom and shower. Add Nespresso machine in room and a fridge that works! There is an honour bar and ice machine. Breakfast is extra and fairly elaborate. Staff are friendly. Plenty of games for kids and an interesting library for those who know why books are printed.
