We are a quintessential 16th Century Coaching Inn in the beautiful countryside of Warwickshire. We are on the Fosse Way which is the gateway to the Cotswolds approx. 3 miles outside of Shipston-on-Stour. We offer a comfortable restaurant where we’ll be offering a Breakfast, Lunch and À La Carté menu, with an additional bar menu too. Our rooms are beautifully appointed all with an en-suite bathroom, whilst offering beautiful village outlooks or stunning views across the Cotswold countryside. There is free Wi-Fi for all guests and a comfortable bar area where our locals gather for a well-kept ale or a tasty Gin and Tonic, in front of the beautiful fireplace and cosy log burner.
I stayed at the Halford Bridge Inn for the night while on a cycling tour of the Cotswolds while my fellow cyclists were camping. The building a beautiful characterful 16th century coaching Inn with beautiful surroundings. The current owners have only recently purchased the venue and are making every effort to make it into something special. The room was comfortable and had everything I could possibly have wanted. The real secret is the family themselves. They could not possibly have made any more effort to make my stay as lovely as possible. The breakfast was also far more impressive than any chain hotel. This is a lovely place to stay.

The Old Kiln House is an eighteenth century grade II listed town house situated in the centre of the historic market town Shipston-on-Stour which is known as the cornerstone to the Cotswolds. It is an ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and beautiful Cotswold towns and villages. What a fantastic surprise to be taken to such a beautiful B&B to celebrate a special birthday for a couple of days in the beautiful Cotswolds by friends. WOW. We stayed at The Old Kiln House b&b In Shipston upon Stour (What a gem). Perfect location for visiting the Cotswolds & Stratford upon Avon. Rooms were beautiful and to a very high standard throughout with beautiful outside space. Breakfast was fantastic and Bridget could not have been anymore attentive. Very knowledgeable about local areas and restaurants to visit. A great find, but don’t tell anybody, otherwise we may not be able to get booked in. I will certainly will be going back. Thank you Bridget for making our stay special and for my friends who found this little gem. Barbara H

Stay with us and wake up in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our self-catering apartment, The Granary, is a charming character bolt-hole in the heart of Whichford. Alternatively camp in comfort all year round in one of our beautiful, high-spec glamping pods.
Went here with my Auntie because I was attracted to the menu as it had shell fish on it. I had a dressed crab with crusty bread ( there wasn’t enough bread just two very small pieces requested more which was charged at £2.60 for four small pieces). My Aunt ordered a small portion of cod and chips which was ample. Both dishes was presented very attractively and tasted as good as it looked. We had ice cream for desert which was yummy but would have been nicer with a wafer. It was a wet Wednesday lunch time and busy, I think parking would be a problem at busy times.

A special welcome awaits you from Jane and William at this delightful, historic B & B in the peaceful village of Halford. It's a beautiful house in stunning grounds overlooking the River Stour. I was walking Shakespeare's Way from Stratford and this was my first stop. Despite arriving early I was warmly greeted with tea and cake. My bedroom dated back to 1556, featuring ancient beams and a very comfortable bed. My breakfast was first class. I thoroughly recommend the Old Manor House for every type of traveller. Note that pub in Halford is excellent but does not serve food on Monday or Tuesday.

The Bower House is in the historic market town of Shipston on Stour, at the northern edge of the Cotswolds, 10 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. Our Grade II-listed building, originally built in 1731, has been painstakingly and lovingly restored. The ground floor is home to our restaurant and bar, and we have five beautiful and very comfortable en-suite bedrooms on the first and second floors.
We stayed in the Bay Room at the Bower House on a Saturday night as we were eating in the restaurant. The room was fantastic with lovely furnishings, a window seat and huge bathroom with separate shower room. There was also an additional room with bunk bed. The bed was comfortable and the temperature not too hot as is often the case. Our room cost £160 and included breakfast for the 2 of us. We had the full English and a veggie equivalent both of which were very good. It was a great overnight stay and we would happily return.

Dogs and well-behaved owners are welcome also, but unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the rooms. Please inform us of any special dietary requests and we will do our best to provide these.
