Kikuletwa Hot Springs also known as Rundugai hot water springs or Chemka hot springs are an unexpected paradise hidden in the desert scrub outside the town of Boma Situated about 71 km from Arusha They are an extraordinary phenomenon, rushing up from underground in the middle of parched and dusty landscape. In fact, the water is not hot rather it is a pleasant temperature! This is a good place to visit for a picnic and a swim too. And the views of Kilimanjaro on a clear day are also fabulous. Unfortunately, the water is full of fluoride which means the local people can’t use it for drinking. The crystal-clear, turquoise waters surrounded by palm trees and winding roots offer a picturesque spot for a relaxing afternoon swim. The spring is actually rather big and over 6 meters deep in some places although you can see the bottom through the crystal clear waters no matter where you are. You can have as much fun or relaxation as your heart desires and your mind and body needs

We had the most incredible experience with Mboni Adventures and we cannot recommend them enough! After researching many different trekking companies we have decided to choose Mboni. Jackson was great in answering all of our many questions before-hand and helped us to plan our dream trip and made the process so easy. We did the Lemosho route and our entire team of 11 Mboni staff were incredible. Our head guide Frank and Frank 2 :) as assistant guide, were the best and always checking in to see how we were doing and encouraged us every step of the way. They were knowledgable, helpful and fun to be around. The food definitely exceeded our expectations and the service was just as good. Special thanks to: Frank, Frank, Albatro, Dismas, Osman, Ali, Abuh, Nickson, Gerald, Abel and Noel. They made the trip one we will never forget! ASANTE SANA and hopefully see you again! Iwona&Jacek

The Marangu route is one of the most popular routes to the summit of Kilimanjaro. This could partly be as a result of the fact that the Marangu is the least expensive route, but more so, perhaps the fact that it is possible to do the Marangu route in 5 days, thereby getting to the summit one day earlier compared to the Machame route. Read more about 5 days - Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing marangu route Shared hut accommodation on the Marangu route forms one of the main differences, compared to the other routes. It offers you the relative luxury of being able to sleep in huts along the entire route. Mineral water, soft drinks, chocolates and beers are also sold at all the camps on this route. All your equipment and supplies are pottered and a cook prepares all your meals. Goooooo!!!!!! We took this trip one month befors we travelled. 4 Friends. The organising team is just Reeally friendly! I loved the experience! Take some warm clothes for Ngoro ngoro, a power bank would be needed as well. Guide answered all my queries promptly (one of the reasons we chose Africa Outland over other Safari companies). Our guide is very experienced and made sure to see all that we were supposed to see, big 5, lots of very cute baby animals, the kill by Cheetah, mating lions and unforgettable sights of migrations and many more Big up, I’m coming again this summer ????
The Machame route, also referred to as the Whiskey route, is one of the most popular routes on Kilimanjaro and a favorite for us. Machame route is one of the highest summit success rates given the topography and nature of the route which allows climbers to “trek high & sleep low” hence making it a more favorable route for acclimatization

The Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. Our company specializes in guiding on the Lemosho route. Most of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using this route and they consistently report that they loved it. Thus, Lemosho is highly recommended.

Boundless plains punctuated with spiky acacia trees, Serengeti kopjes, hippo and crocodile-laden rivers, and a landscape home to the Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalo, and elephants) with more than 475 bird species–it’s no wonder the Serengeti precedes its reputation as a wildlife haven. Trip Date: Aug 2019 Africa and the Serengeti have long been on my friend and I's bucket list. We were so fortunate to have found Alex's Baba Kilimanjaro Tour Group. This was our first time dealing directly with a company in Africa (and not via a third-party travel agency). After we paid the deposit, we seemed a bit uncertain if anyone was going to pick us up at the airport at all! All that anxiety went out of the window when we saw Alex, the owner-operator, smiling and holding up a big sign at the airport, and welcomed us to his comfortable Toyota Land Cruiser. In the next 7-8 days, we traveled with Alex in his Land Cruiser, as a private tour for just us two. He has a keen pair of eyes and can spot animals miles away. He led us to see many animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, African buffalos, giraffes, etc. His English was excellent, we had no problem communicating with him at all. He even has a great sense of humor and told us a lot of interesting stories about the local culture and animals. Most importantly, we saw the crown jewel of the Safari, which is the Great Migration of the wildebeest and zebras. It took a lot of patience and experience on Alex's part, but we finally saw it. Its magnificance can only be appreciated in person. Given this is a national park and complete wilderness, he cared a lot about our safety and told us all kinds of safety precautions. We felt super safe with Alex around. Through these 7-8 day stay with Alex, both my friend and I formed a strong bond with Alex, and we remained friends until today. Note: My trip took place before COVID so no masks was required. From my recent conversation with Alex, he has prepared all the sanitation and personal protection equipment for all his employees and the customers.
