This tram line was the only ring line in Germany. It was closed after reunification, but was after major popular support.partially reopened in 2007. With a distance of 2.9 km, it is probably Germany's shortest tram line. The trams used are old cars from the DDR era. In daily operation a timetable with departures every half hour is maintained with only one tram in operation. Naumburg and its tram line are a time pocket that is highly recommended. The staff on the trams belongs also to another time - they are all very helpful and friendly.
