My first time using Wekiva Outfitters but second time kayaking on the Wekiva River. I was greeted immediately by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Equipment brought to the river edge for me. The gear I rented was top of the line and in great condition. The staff provided great details about my paddle options. We decided a self-guided paddle up stream and lazy float back to the start point. I had originally booked for their shuttle service but ended up not using it. Without any mention from me, I was provided a refund promptly (Got a text message). Highly recommended Outfitters!!! I am definitely coming back.

We did the 1.5 hour walking tour of Historic Downtown Sanford and had a blast! We learned so much about the history of the town, and all of the famous people who have stayed there before. It was so interesting to see how so many old building that were covered with stucco, were being uncovered and turned into something new! Nancy was our tour guide and you could definitely tell she was passionate about the city's history. We felt very safe, everyone was wearing their masks and there was plenty of space to socially distance, while still hearing the tour guide. If you love Florida history and Sanford I definitely recommend this tour! We also rented a golf cart after the tour to explore the city. Nancy did an excellent job of letting us know where we could ride, and some of the best places to explore. We got coffee at Palates and lunch at Hollerbachs, and enjoyed strolling through the downtown market! I can't wait to go back and check out more of the breweries and distilleries!

We had a fine time at the zoo. We were there for about three hours, and would have stayed longer, but it started to get hot and humid. They have food/drink for sale on site, and also an ample picnic area. We brought lunch, as did many others. We later got drinks and desserts in the park. The animals seem well cared for, and the zoo is very clean. The staff members are kind and courteous. Displays have just the right amount of information. For those who have raised concerns about small enclosures, keep in mind that animals in captivity, who have a guaranteed meal every day, don't need to roam and run across miles and miles in search of food. A few things were closed, but that's become a sign of the times. We'll look forward to going back when everything is back up and running as normal again.
