I am a Vietnam War veteran and my wife gave me a tour of Normandy Beach as a present for my 70th birthday. When I found Rudy’s tour company, I checked it out on TripAdvisor and read the reviews. Of the 75 reviews listed, all were rated “Excellent.” After taking a personalized 2-day tour of Omaha and Utah beaches in February 2020, I know that all the ratings were well deserved. On the tour, I joked with Rudy that it must have taken him a very long time to write all those reviews. He just laughed. All reviews were spot on. Our tour group consisted of my wife and me, one of my sons, his wife, and their two sons aged 5 and 3. Rudy picked us up at our hotel in Bayeux in his OD green 7-passenger car. Our son was smart enough to bring the children’s car seats from their home in Paris for they were not provided on the tour. Rudy drove us around for two days and made a point of letting us know this was our trip. He directed us but never rushed us. He catered to all our needs, from youngest to oldest. He is a consummate teacher and an expert on the allied invasion. The tour of the U.S. Cemetery and the flag lowering ceremony were worth the trip alone. Rudy is certainly the guide to use. You will learn so much. You will feel so much. You will not be disappointed.

This tour was perfect for our family. We wanted to go to Normandy but were not confident figuring out all of the trains to/from Paris so finding one that left from Paris was just what we needed. The weather was touch and go leading up to our scheduled tour date but Josef was in constant communication with us on what to maybe expect, if some things might be closed, what possible back up plans could be... thankfully we said lets just do and we are so glad we did! Josef was great, super knowledgeable and informative. It ended up being such a perfect day!

A major objective for the Allies, the taking of Carentan was crucial to ensure the linkup of the troops landing on Utah Beach and Oma-ha Beach. This mission was assigned to the paratroopers of the 101st US Airborne Division, who would soon face their German counterparts, the fearsome Fallschirmjäger – this was the clash of the paratroops. Located in Saint-Côme-du-Mont, whose capture was a necessary precondition for the liberation of Carentan, D-Day Experience is the only museum to offer a double perspective of the events. From June 2019 onwards, to better understand the stakes and view the confrontation in the wider context of the invasion and the ensu-ing Battle of Normandy, the 3D film D-Day Normandy 1944 will be shown on a giant screen to offer an unprecedented visual and audio experience... Two museums, a flight simulator and an 3D giant screen theater – D-Day Experience: don’t learn History, experience it!

We booked a tour with Dean directly in earlier in the year, Dean confirmed that the he would refund the fee ($1000USD) if we needed to cancel the tour. Due to the pandemic we canceled the tour more than 60 days in advance of the tour. After more than 8+ attempts to contact Dean via email we have yet to receive any response or refund. While his tour are highly rated, I would strongly encourage you to select other providers, as Dean appears to less than ethical.

November 11th is a day of remembrance in the US for all of our veterans but this day holds a very special meaning to everyone affected by WW1. In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the War to End All Wars was over. I had very little knowledge of the details other than my grandfather’s recently discovered military records from his service in Europe during WW1. Regis was able to use these few details to discover my grandfather’s exact battlefield locations and the significance of his unit’s contribution to the war effort. I was so enthralled by my 1st tour in November of 2019, that I booked another private tour with Regis in February 2020. Regis was able to expand on my knowledge of the war and of my grandfather’s role in the overall Allied effort. Now after a year has passed, I can reflect on this experience and humbly try to express my thanks to Regis for his extraordinary knowledge and interest in the history of his country and the Allies during WW1 and WW2. I hope to be able to return soon when the situation allows, and to explore more of the lessons of this important time. On this special day, I want to extend a special thanks to Regis for 2 incredible tours and for my deepened understanding of a grandfather’s legacy.
