Reviewed By DeepusqrlAwesome place to chill out in Madurai. Infrastructure is very good for the atmosphere. It's near hill and gives you the feel of hillstation. Rooms are very spacious and clean . The best thing about this resort is the staffs who works here . Being a guy who goes to many resort and it's really hard to find such a nice and helpful guys. They really take care of their clients. Manoj is very helpful and went beyond the expectations. Food is very awesome and healthy , their coffee is awesome with pure cow milk. I can guarantee this place is gonna be the best vacation spot for people who visits Madurai. Chefs are really knowledgeable and friendly Will definitely visit this place again and again whenever I come to India .

not a pleasant stay, false claims
Reviewed By rush-trI booked the business room (little higher charges than standard) with breakfast for my parents who were passing by the town and wanted to see Meenakshi temple. I wanted to book everything so that they dont have to struggle much in new place, specially since they are both around 70 and were reaching late in evening. They reached the hotel and wanted to drop the luggage at counter and rush to the temple before the temple closed. The hotel manager was not very cooperative. They went to their first floor room (there is no elevator). They also clarified regarding payments, AC and hot water availability. Once back little late after dinner, they got back to their room which was not anything closer to business room. It was one of the small rooms, perhaps the last one the hotel had, though the booking was done almost a month back. Further, the AC did not work, the room was stuffy, the sheets were not clean. On top of it, the staff boy (since there was no one more responsible, manager and owner had gone back) would not understand them and would not respond. They spent the night without AC. Further, they wanted hot water in the night and they were told that it should come after some runoff water, but it never came. After lot of persuasion, they were told that the geyser is not working, which the staff knew all along. While checking out early in morning to catch train, they were asked for payment before they could leave the room (it was a pre-paid room and they showed the receipt too). The manager would not pick up the phone and there was no one to contact. After arguments they could leave. Needless to say, in early morning the breakfast that was included in the room fare was out of question. In all, the place did not seem like a friendly place and if one has good experience, it seems more by chance, and if you dont have to interact much. For the elderly people it was lot of stress and unwanted hassle. Would not recommend the hotel, it felt like being cheated.

Reviewed By email2suryazHotel located in prime location near periyar bus stand. Walkable distance from Railway Station too. Check-In and Check-out was easy. (Booked through online, with pay @ hotel option). Got Room in 5th Floor. Single Occupancy 700/-. Non-AC (I personally felt for Solo travellers like me this is a High Price - which can be reduced). Room was quite OK. If you are young and with a young group, Meenakshi Temple is Walkable too. Buses available from Periyar bus stand to all parts of madurai. I came to madurai to visit Theni and Cumbum and had a nice trip visiting those two places. Room and Bathroom had lots of dust, but i really can't blame the hotel for this as they were Govt was renovating the Periyar bus stand. The whole area was dusty and muddy. All the near buy eatable hotels also were muddy. (Need to monitor the hotel cleanliness on my next visit) Room and Bathroom was quite good and spacious for a Solo traveller. Hot water was available in morning . Provided towel, soap and water bottle. No bedsheet was available in room, which they provided after my request. Car Parking available, though it would be difficult and jam packed if there are multiple cars and you need to take your car out. Lift facility was also available. Water provided in bottle was good and not just for name sake. Not used their room service, hence can't comment on that. Mosquitoes menace was there during my stay. Pros:- 1. Near to Periyar Bus Stand and Railway Station 2. Near by eatables available Cons:- 1. Situated in main road, hence lots of traffic noises during late night also 2. No Card payment available (Big draw back for me). Only Cash or UPI payment. 3. No Channels were coming in TV. Not even Free Channels. (I was out for most of the time hence this was not a Big Deal even though I paid 700/-) Suggestion for Management:- 1. Price can be reduced for Solo / Single Occupancies.

Reviewed By THEROCK786Located in a peaceful area, from the room (lake side) you can view the lake, opposite to the hotel park is there, appx 5.0 km from railway station, rooms are spacious and clean, hotel staff's are very cooperative, pure veg restaurants in the ground floor, Ola auto/cab are available due to the location, pocket friendly budget hotel.

Budget friendly Hotel
Reviewed By Ramanathan AGood budget friendly hotel. I booked through Goibibo. Commonly if this is online booking they allow only 12PM to 12PM. if you book inperson, you could get 24hrs from check in time. They have good parking space and also a restaurant to dine. Rooms aren't spacious, but isn't a major issue.
