Checked in, dirty towels on our bed...on my way out I've asked if it os possible to change those towels, when came back found some of it thrown in front of my door, disappointed ! As a last minute our daughter wanted to come with us therefore I've asked for an extra bed(as in their emails said they've got it) the guy from reception verrry mean) saying that they don't have this option! The cobwebs above my bed giving a great view! Bathroom full of limescale everywhere! The part where there was NO toilet brush in our bathroom?...Hold on.... The moment when I got stuck in the bathroom cuz of the door... (room 407)Therefore we've decided to check out one day earlier! Anyway, for sure we will never come back to stay at this hotel!

Great bang for your buck
Reviewed By radup430Don't get me wrong, this isn't a luxury hotel, so don't expect luxury. However, for the price you pay, it's really decent. Location is good, the staff is nice and the room is clean (not just the sheets and towels, the whole room looks very clean). You get what you would expect from a hotel room (WiFi, private bathroom), plus some stuff you don't always see (like hair dryer, ironing board). This is NOT a 5 star hotel. But as far as I'm concerned, it should have a 5 star review relative to its price.

Reviewed By sledgeman88What a dive. Kitchen is filthy, it stinks, 2 fridge freezers one you can’t use the other Is full of out of date food. Not allowed to use the cooker as it’s a gas one and has been condemned due to lack of insurance. 1microwave for 18 rooms with around 25 people. It’s basically a bed sit house share with your own shower and toilet even then it hadn’t been cleaned. Bag changed in the bin but the bin wasn’t clean inside. The toilet had poo at the back of it. Every time I went outside for a smoke I’d get asked if I had any spare. Sleep was rubbish due to the noise of all the other people staying and paper thin walls you can here burps farts snoring Room size was ok bed was comfy. Glad it was only for one night. Will never stay here again. Turns out the local councils use it for degenerates

Estuary House is a very large 9-bedroom home, with 8 en-suites and 1 private bathroom. All rooms are fitted with an LED TV, and most rooms benefit from a kitchenette (including fridge/freezer, coffee machine and microwave combi-oven). There are 2 large kitchen areas, which include range ovens and a large dining table, fit for a banquet. There is also a very spacious and comfortable lounge area, with a 50" TV. The garden & patio to the rear is great for sunny days and a lovely place to relax.

Very Disappointed
Reviewed By 62amblesideAppalled by the experience of this place. Avoid at all costs This is not a true B&B as no breakfast offed, more like a sqat ?. Upon arrival there was no one to greet us at the premises, the communication is handled by a telecom system. We booked two rooms, for a two night stay for my wife, sons and his pregnant partner. The bannisters and walls leading to the each room were filthy. Inside each room the paintwork and doors was dirty also the windows had black mould. In one room , the door leading to bathroom was difficult to open and very tight against the bed. The shower cubicles in each room had black mould also the towels had black marks on them. My wife cleaned the basins in each room before use also the bedding felt damp and uninviting , as the window were left open to try and get rid of the smell of damp. Needless to say, we left within 30 minutes and booked into another far more suitable and CLEAN hotel. We left the keys to each room on the bed as instructed and left very swiftly never to return. The pictures on their website are very misleading. I will now try to gain a refund?

Overpriced, greedy management, not convenient.

The first pain in the a*se was having to submit multiple documents to their own "sorted stay" portal which from reading other reviews seems to be a means of this company taking more control over customers payments. Secondly the set up is of 4 individual rooms, like bedsits but the bathroom for each is across a corridor. Our bathroom had strong smell of urine - from drains perhaps - and mould on the walls, but the basin and shower was generally 'clean'. Thirdly- lighting in our room was terrible. Gave me a headache, very dim with only small single ceiling light and as it is a ground floor property by a main road you can't spread the curtains unless you enjoy having strangers peering inside, so no daylight. Fourthly, and what has led me to writing this review, as I am generally very agreeable and can make the most of anywhere (and the bed was genuinely comfortable for our 2 night stay): i have been charged £35 because apparently the light tomato sauce marks from a slice of pizza which was dropped on the bedding has resulted in a need for replacement. Total nonsense - less than 24 hours had passed since this and trust me it was not a big mess, I would have washed it out by hand myself if I thought it could be significant. It makes me question either the ability of the cleaners to do simple laundry or the company exploiting any opportunity to increase their revenue. Sadly I did not check reviews on this forum before our booking but lesson has been learned for future trips!

cheap and cheerful
Reviewed By gavin odecor a little tired but all there for an overnight stay, on site parking and receptionist was polite and very helpful keeping an eye on my motorcycle which impressed me. 500m from the beach and an easy stroll along the seafront to the pier and town centre
