Reviewed By WillemtbA diner for two on a Saturday evening. Food was good ,products superb way of preparing a bit old fashioned. Local wine was excellent. Restaurant was fully packed and noisy still service was reasonable but could be more efficient.

Reviewed By SoulchargerWe arrived in the evening and were handed a set of keys, told where room was and times of breakfast "thank you and good night". Almost impossible to manhandle baggage in hallway and stairs dues to 4 mountain bikes being parked there (see photo) - surely a fire hazard ? Room was with shared bathroom, with 4 rooms on the 2nd floor plus more on the 1st floor, the bathroom is shared with perhaps as many as 12 people or more, so getting the use of the bathroom was very much a hit and miss affair. No wash hand basin in room and toilet in bathroom meant that everything had to done in the 1 single bathroom !! Best to get a room with own en suite bathroom to avoid delays !! Only 1 bathroom towel supplied, virtually no soap anywhere, good job we brought our own, no hairdryer in room. Breakfast was served at the table and consisted of a bread roll, 1 croissant, 1 or 2 slices brown bread, hard boiled egg, some ham and cheese, yogurt, orange juice, butter and jam. More than enough and choice of tea, coffee etc. Hotel does close at 9pm so if you want a drink or late night snack you need to cross the road to the hotel - cafe there for that. Large airy room, comfortable beds and decent cable TV choices. As one of my fellow guests remarked "it's a pimped up B & B". Whilst a decent enough hotel, it wouldn't be my 1st choice when we go back to Vijlen.

Perfect stay for one night
Reviewed By Sharon vLovely little hotel with a perfect service! We arrived late in the afternoon but we were welcomed with a very big smile. Diner was good, nothing specials and the beds were perfect! Our stay was for one night and in the morning we had to leave early because of the Grand Prix of Spa. Normally breakfast is from 8.30 but for us they made an exception and made breakfast at 7.00h in the morning.

Beautiful view
Reviewed By tthirzaaWent here for a drink on the terrace and the view is beautiful. The staff are very polite and the building is very neat and clean. There was proper spacing between the tables and chairs to assure safety during the pandemic.

Reviewed By marcobrenda2015Dit kleine Landal parkje is een oase voor wandel liefhebbers. Direct op een onverharde weg wandelen naar diverse plaatsjes door de landerijen en in het bos. Het parkje is voor mensen die een huisje zoeken voor vier of zes personen, de huisjes zijn ruim en comfortabel. Het licht heel centraal in het zuiden van Zuid Limburg en op wandelafstand van vele mooie paden.

Reviewed By trees1011 km van het dorpje met de buurtwinkel, heerlijke wandeling om de kleine boodschapjes te halen, de grote boodschappen deden we in Vaals. We hadden appartement de Wijngaard voor zes personen met twee badkamers. Heel schoon, netjes ingericht, voldoende ruimte. We zijn er twee weken gebleven en werkelijk alles was aanwezig in de keuken. Ruim voldoende servies, goed werkende afwasmachine, oven/magnetron en flinke diepvries en twee koelkasten. Als je langer blijft dan een week moet je bijbetalen voor schoon beddengoed, dat hebben we nog niet eerder meegemaakt. Ook handdoeken zelf meenemen. Wifi en internet is een drama, werkt meer niet dan wel,. Al met al is dit een aanrader met gastvrije eigenaren en een heerlijk van alle gemakken voorzien appartement en een gigantische tuin. We hopen er terug te keren

Reviewed By BartjeyLeuk huisje voor een paar dagen. Ligging is mooi, zowel qua uitzicht als bereikbaarheid (aan een doorgaande weg waar je overigens geen last van hebt). Alles was netjes, schoon en goed verzorgd. Ook leuk: op loopafstand (klein halfuurtje) van een ‘berghut’ waar je prima kunt eten en speciaal biertjes kunt drinken.
