Lovely guesthouse, located in Huye, Butare in the district of Taba. There are 5 bedrooms with bathroom and separate entrance and a nice studio with a kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful garden, large terrace with superb views of the hills. Large living room with TV.
Stayed at Maison Sifa for two nights to allow a visit to the National Museum. Within easy walking distance of the bus station as well as the museum. Meals were all cooked to order and served by a very attentive staff. The rooms were furnished to a high standard extremely clean and the gardens were very beautiful. Various water birds flew over head each evening.

We have Wood cottages with fire place inside, double rooms and twin rooms with private bathrooms and hot water. From the rooms, the view on the Nyungwe Forest National Park, the tea plantations and the mountain is amazing. We have a restaurant, an outdoor fireplace and a private parking. Security guards 24/7.
Rooms are at the top of a steep walkway, which was a challenge for our grandmother! Comfortable cabins, beautiful views, excellent service. We had our meals brought to our cabin to spare grandmother the steep walking path. Great tour of the tea plantation, thank you Josie! Buy the local Nyungwe honey from the little shop just down the road!

Staying at the Light House Hotel not only guarantees an excellent experience, but also an opportunity to contribute to the Huye community. Just like a traditional lighthouse, the Light House hotel serves as a symbol of hope and safety for the Huye community. The hotel supports two important local initiatives: empowering female entrepreneurs through sustainable farming, and building houses for Huye families in need. Our hotel has many features including a variety of rooms with stunning views, a conference center that is fully equipped to host large groups, and an exceptional restaurant with traditional Huye fine dining. A gym, sauna, and convenience store are new additions to the hotel. Located in Rwanda’s Southern Province, it has easy access to many travel destinations such as Nyungwe Forest, with a friendly staff who are happy to help in any way. The surrounding neighborhoods provide guests with opportunities to explore Rwandan culture. We are here to make your stay a happy stay!
We had a very nice experience in Light House Hotel. The people, the food, the environment. (Next door is the forrest where you can walk many hours) Rooms are very nice. The view outside in some rooms is outstanding. The sport inside the Hotel with supercoach is very good. In short. Super

Mocking of a hotel. After being in the woods of nyungwe for three days, we needed a little more luxury (swimming pool, food, good sleep) Upon arrival at the hotel: swimming pool has no water in it (booking.com does advertise it), room attributes are not complete and no wifi. Finally wanted to order pizza in the restaurant in the evening. No pizza available because the chef is baking cake in the oven. Never again this hotel!
