AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Reviewed By maxloveschocolateTerrible experience for an overnight stay! Upon my arrival, there was no line whatsoever but the concierge saw me and decided to ignore me. It wasnt until I approached them when she said "didn't see you there". Fine. Then I was put at a corner room, the farthest possible room. It was about a five minute walk just to get to the room. I asked whether there were other people on my floor, and she said no. So I wanted to be moved closer to the elevator and again she said no for no apparent reason. No explanation of hotel features or facilities, very unfriendly staff! The room itself wasn't great. It's an old hotel, that's fine! But there was hair everywhere (bed sheets, bathroom, towels). The toilet also looked used when I got there! Moreover, there were blood stains on the bed sheets and towels. Gross! Just to see if they would provide morning calls and they don't. The final straw that compelled me to write a review was the airport shuttle experience. I flew spirit and I needed to be dropped off at terminal 3. But instead I was dropped off at terminal 5. The driver told me to get off because he thinks the shuttle is gonna catch on fire and explode. Instead he said take the airport train service. Except when I waited, the train service wasn't working! What an inconvenience. Quite disappointing! I called the hotel about it and instead I was greeted with really crappy, and I mean really crappy, attitude!!! The lady was basically making it sound like it was my fault for getting off, I had to wait another thirty mins (that I don't have), and there were long awkward pauses and silences to make the phone call that much more uncomfortable. Ended up spending $20 to take a lyft to get to my terminal. Four Points SUCKS! Avoid at all costs. Just terrible. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, trust me!

HORRENDOUS, DO NOT STAY!!

Often I see reviews like this and think 'it can't be that bad, it's just a bed to sleep in'.. trust me, it can. Awful from start to finish. RUDE horrible reception staff (female, won't mention name but rhymes with Sia) from check in, non-smoking room STANK of smoke and a musty stale smell. Aeroplanes going overhead every 30 secs (not their fault but impossible to sleep). People smoking weed/arguing outside your door. We asked to move rooms and were told we exceeded the 15min reporting time (this is not stated anywhere and was a blatant lie and how ridiculous that they expect you to get back to reception within 15 mins - we were debating whether we could put up with it but also frantically trying to find somewhere local for dinner before everywhere shut within the hour as we arrived in the vening). Receptionist refused us to move rooms as said they had none available, yet loads on booking.com. Told us to speak to manager and was our own fault for not researching the hotel better (how they could blame us I don't know).. then gave us a fake email and a phone number for reception where manager was not even on shift and it just went back to the miserable girl. Then told us we could move rooms (despite saying they had no spare rooms) only to put us in another smelly one, then finally gave us a better smelling room as a last resort as they refused to refund us (which is just awful) yet there were black hairs all in the bed and we had to sleep fully clothed on top of the sheets and felt sooo dirty and gross!!! We beared two nights there as everything else cost $400+ but I was willing to pay any amount of money to avoid it if they hadn't found us a room that smelt remotely acceptable (which she had clearly just ran around with antibac spray). Please please please do not give these people your money or custom, they are rude, obnoxious, have the worst customer service and I would rather have slept in a dog kennel, outside, in the rain.

Reviewed By amyjean0202My young child and I arrived at the hotel after driving for a few hours. We waited in line for the staff person to help a family ahead of us. My child needed to use the restroom so we looked for one and only found a locked mens and women's restroom. I asked the front desk person for a key and she told me they didn’t have a public restroom. So we were not yet checked in and there was no access to a restroom. Unfortunately, the only option was for my child to soil their pants or to urinate outside (which is what they were forced to do). This instantly made me regret my decision to stay here. Our room was fairly clean with the exception of the [pubic?] hair by the bathroom sink. The shower pressure was so hard that it hurt and there was no way to adjust it. I will not return due to the lack of assistance when my young child needed to use the restroom while we waited to check in.

Reviewed By 37madisonfMy family stayed in this hotel for one night before we left the car and flew to Florida the next morning. The beds were uncomfortable, there was water damage and no breakfast whatsoever like they offer. For when we get back from Florida, they said that buses pick up every half hour, we waited for 20 extra minutes before they got there, and I was on the line with them for 15 minutes on hold. They were never busy, so for 15 minutes and they can’t even answer my call to see when our shuttle was coming is outrageous.

Check-in was a breeze, they ask if you would like housekeeping, if you need a parking pass (free), or if there's anything else they could do to accommodate your stay. I needed to extend a day and Elise made that possible with the same room which I greatly appreciated. This location is in close proximity to lots of things including O'Hare airport and if you're renting a car, very close to the CTA line to get to the city. I enjoyed the cleanliness, modern rooms, continental breakfast in the morning, bottles of water, comfy beds, coffee + tea, bathroom had great lighting, dresser had lighting as well (good to do makeup), iron, hair dryer to name a few highlights.. Didn't get a chance to use the pool or fitness room but that's a great amenity to have. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance - inside is nicely renovated and the staff is A+. Would certainly return again! Keep up the good work!!

Reviewed By vbbillyBad smell as you walk into your room. Old smoke. Light switchs intermittently work, must flip them back and forth multiple times. Bathroom is the worst. I have stayed in hotels at $22 per night with better rooms. Carpet was sticky on my bare feet. Socks needed to walk around. Bed was a 5 out of ten. Holes in the sheets, but at least it smelled like they washed them. There will not be a next time for this place. Morning counter staff was not easy to work with. He did not want to come over to help get a taxi back the airport. I guess I inconvenience him. Even after I made eye contact, I had to call him to get any help at all.
