We were traveling around central/northern Italy for a few weeks and just before traveling northwards to Austria and then back home, we had the chance to stay for two nights in S. Sofia at this beautiful place, Il Veccio Comune. This place belongs to very kind people that care so much about detail, it really translates into their rooms and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. S. Sofia is a very quaint town with amazing restaurants and there are so many lovely places to visit close by too. We really hope to come back some day and spend more time there, hopefully soon again. Thank you so much & kind regards

Escape the city bustle and take shelter in a corner of true natural paradise, rustic, exquisite. Read a good book beneath the shade of a maple tree, cuddled by the chirping of birds. Take long excursions in the open air, in quiet and uncontaminated spaces.Let yourself be caressed by the rays of the sun, while you lay in the middle of the green and cool air that envelopes the commercial farm.Be immersed in the environment, acquiring reverence for the territory and coming in contact with the particular pace of nature and its productive cycles. Find yourselves gathered round a dining table, where delicious food becomes the key protagonist. Become acquainted with new people and share with them the experiences and passions of a lifetime.Delve into a welcoming atmosphere that only a household management careful to refined taste knows how to offer. All of this is part of the commercial farm La Luna: alone or in the company of others, it is the ideal location to regenerate the mind and body in sheer relax.
We stayed at La Luna in the middle of a 3-week tour of Italy (easy access, ample parking at the farm). The farm is located at the top of a gorgeous little valley and most rooms have a lovely view. The rooms are nice, modern, clean and private. Our room had a kitchen in it, which we didn't use but was great. We spend a few glorious days lounging by the pool with a handful of Italians (we were the only anglophones) and reading books in the hammocks. When it came time for dinner at La Luna, we weren't sure what to expect. We sat outside on the veranda and watched the sun set over the valley and enjoyed a delightful nine course dinner. Fresh, clean, simple but amazing food, served with a warm smile. Our second night we went down into town for dinner at a restaurant recommended by our hosts, which was a totally different experience but equally friendly. It's been a few weeks since we've been back from Europe, but our time at La Luna has stayed with me as one of our most enjoyable experiences in Italy. Not only was the food great, the setting beautiful and relaxing, and the lodging comfortable, clean and perfect, but also the staff at La Luna was so warm, welcoming, kind, friendly, thoughtful, enthusiastic and accommodating. They took such evident pride in their hosting and such genuine concern for our comfort and contentment. If we expressed any interest, or had any question, they were immediately and happily available to help. We were there with our kids (ages 10 and 12) and did not feel at all uncomfortable but instead like we were visiting cousins. The next time we're in Italy, we'll definitely be back.

Pianconvento is exquisite! We stayed one night in their nicest room on a road trip between Ravenna and Tuscany. Such serenity! The property is located on a hillside next to a wheat field. All of the furnishings and linens were of the highest quality. Franca Nanni, the hostess, is endlessly warm and welcoming. The wholesome organic food from her kitchen is divine, as is their local wine. Her family has lived in the region for generations. We are a US couple in our 60s, very active, and knowing only a few words of Italian. Franca’s English was good enough for us to have wonderful conversations. Highly recommend!

Grazie, ci torneremo sicuramente !
