Amazing hospitality and location
Reviewed By DarcyRam7We arrived quite late after our hike up Ben Baun (beautiful but terrifying). We had such a warm welcome and a really warm and cozy room. The beds were very comfortable. We got food from the nearby diner which the hostess recommended and ate at the beautiful Island View beach at sunset. The diner served local mussels, chicken burgers and great chips. When checking in, we were given a breakfast menu and it was incredible- great veggie options and I loved seeing a cheeseboard on the menu! I would really recommend this place- the B+B owners were so nice, such a gorgeous view from our table at breakfast and a great little fire/sofa area for a glass of wine before bed.

Renvyle House is a four star, historic country house, family owned and family run. It first opened as a hotel in 1883 and is spectacularly located on a 150 acre estate on the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way (midway point of the longest car touring route in the world). Renvyle House is known for it’s “air of otherwordliness” which we believe is a strong and unique selling point and something of which we are very proud. Reviewed By richard wWe had a lovely stay and what really stood out were the staff. Caitlin at the front desk and Andy (who was everywhere) were so helpful and always chatty and patient with my incessant questions. Everyone else could not have been kinder and this hotel has an eclectic mix of staff ranging from Spain all the way to Argentina. The food was excellent, sumptuous and the wine choice excellent as well. While we were there we visited Kylemore Abbey ( a must), numerous white beaches as well as long walks by the sea. My kids loved the heated pool and the jacuzzi! This is a place you will never forget and want to come back to again.

Sea Breeze is a family home situated in a quite and scenic location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil holiday, Sea Breeze is the place for you. Wake up to a magnificent sunrise over Croagh Patrick and Maol Reidh mountain, the highest in Connaght. All our rooms are En Suite and have a T.V and hairdryer, family rooms are available and tea and coffee are available at all times.

Reviewed By Rich GWe stayed here after having a bit of trouble finding it. Single lane roads to get it. Watch your GPS closely to find it, but the location is worth the trouble. Very nice hosts, great parking area, and nice room. Good breakfast next morning. Views from the dining area are great. We ate supper at Paddy Coynes Pub before we settled in, on their recommendation. A great place. I recommend this B&B if you are in this area.

Food is beautiful and beautifully presented, mood, lighting, music is so good. If your looking for an engagement this is the place, beautiful fire, features. The hosts are so good, and attentive, and really made my stay wonderful. The rooms are so beautiful ?, and so comfortable and decorated to a really lovely standard, I never recommend place but this place made me feel like I've never felt in a place before. It was just a beautiful place. There is a very small dog and it's just perfect. I know there is no such thing as perfect, but this place is.

Perfect place to visit the Connemara
Reviewed By AniaVoyageThis place is remote but yet easy to find. The rooms are well equipped. THe views are stunning. We had a small garden table outside the room. What makes this place even better are the hosts. They are here for you and helped us even when we stuck our car in the ditch, that saved our holiday as we were on a road trip :) Than you Monica, Jack and Noelie for your help and kindness :)

At the far edge of The EU, fàilte
Reviewed By Jim SInitially, I made two reservations for our stay in this part of Ireland. One at the Renvyle House and one at the Fuchsia House. The choice was important for this first visit to the Emerald Isle. One was recommended for the luxury of the surroundings, the other advised the traveller to refer to a paper map to find them since the GPS sometimes did not function (it did all the time we stayed there). The choice, putting aside any monetary consideration, seemed obvious. A real hideaway was waiting for us. In actuality the Fuchsia House Bed and Breakfast is easy to find. Just keep driving north/northwest from the village of Letterfrack, until the road, getting narrower and narrower, almost ends on Renvyle Point. The location is also marked by a still standing tower of Renvyle Castle and several informative signs. A hidden, but easy to find treasure if you follow the clues. Yes, treasure. Our hosts were welcoming but never intrusive. We were allowed to set the tone of our stay. Our room was inviting, the bed a cloud and there were reading lamps, something that has become part of our hotel wish list. Our morning began with the promised breakfast at the time we chose. Not just breakfast but a full IRISH breakfast. We also had access to a lounge and a newly built sunroom, both furnished with comfortable chairs. And outside the sunroom and over the hedges that surround the Fuchsia House was a stunning, yes stunning, view of meadows and the Atlantic Ocean. I cannot give praise enough to our hosts, Michael and Dee. My wife, Peg, and I thank them both for creating this haven and allowing us to share it for a bit of time. We also encourage Dee to pick up her brush again and hope there will be more display of her talent when we make our return visit.

An absolute gem.not a hotel but a self catering accommodation
Reviewed By Edward JWhaw, being a regular visitor to Ireland Glassillaun is Gods gift to Connemara, beautiful white sandy beach on your doorstep sunsets that Hollywood directors would die for the sun setting over Innishturk was very humbling. Kathleen, we thank you for your warm warm welcome the free range eggs were lovely and the fact you perfectly hid from us our son had without our knowledge flown over from Australia was quite an emotional tearful experience. Full on accommodation with all facilities and despite the fact I cannot climb stairs the living room was large enough to bring down a bed without causing any disruption to the rest of my family. What a coincidence our son living in Australia and your grandson have the same christian name, cherish him and all your family for God lent them to us.
