Amazing stay

Reviewed By abrahamg829

We stayed for 3 nights and definitely wished it was longer as it was an amazing stay. We had all inclusive plus service which I found to be worth it as we got reserved restaurant seats during our whole stay which the staff helped out in making sure we got one of the best seating in the area of our choosing. We also get all the pool bar snack menu for free and majority of the drink options which we utilised to the fullest during our stay as we would had at least three cocktails each night which were all of good quality. We managed to book the water circuit in the spa also which is included in the packaged which we enjoyed as we had access to the spa facilities for 90 minutes. The gym was small but had decent strength equipment to do some sort of full body workout. We booked a deluxe double bed room with hot tub which we loved. We used the hot tub everyday. The view outside was supposed to be sea view but it was more half land half sea but the view was still nice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful during our stay. We didn’t really utilise the entertainment offered at the hotel so can’t comment too much on that. As for the food it was buffet style for breakfast lunch and dinner and we thought the food selection was decent. There is themed dinner each night so different foods to try out every dinner. I was particularly impressed with the desserts which had a decent amount for selection. Quality of the food was okay. Overall I would definitely come to stay in this hotel if I am to visit Tenerife again. When comparing this hotel with others during our hotel research we found that this offers to most for its price range such as the hot tub, all inclusive plus offers etc compared to others looked into, some of which were 5* and were of higher price ranges and the choice definitely paid off as the service we received was more better than we expected.

Our Best Ever Family Holiday

All of the things you think about when booking a hotel, particularly for a family, are spot on at this hotel. All staff - particularly the animation team but everyone you come across - really make you feel welcome and set a lovely, fun and friendly tone. My 5 and 9 year old didn't want to leave the complex - they were busy playing football, swimming, mini golf, dancing and being entertained and enthralled by the likes of Yoni and his brilliant colleagues in the kids club. Never a dull moment for the adults either, with Water Polo, Darts, Volleyball and Shows on offer between lovely meals in the restaurant and help yourself drinks by the pool. Food-wise, also excellent. The cooked breakfast could be slightly improved, but they are more than made up for by the delicious pastries on offer. The desserts were particularly delicious and varied. Kizunguzungu!

What an absolutely fantastic hotel. Very friendly and the food was 10/10, the staff was 10/10 the manager was unbelievable. They ain't shy with looking after you at the bar very generous bar staff. But the best thing about the holiday was the cleaners finding 650 pounds under my bed in my room and handed it in to the manager. Which who sent it back too the UK. I would highly recommend this hotel it's such a relaxing holiday.

Lovely Hotel let down by the catering and entertainment

Reviewed By JBJG20

We booked this hotel through TUI as we wanted something all inclusive to avoid the hassle of finding somewhere to eat out every day but looking back the only way we would recommend the hotel again would be on a B&B (breakfast is excellent) or self catering basis. The food is a huge let down when you actually venture out to sample other places, lunch largely consists of chips, burgers and hotdogs by the pool and is slightly more refined inside. Evening meal is very similar night on night with pasta chips and rice with a large selection of salad and usually a couple of meat dishes. The Italian restaurant is slightly nicer but offers food you’ll find in the other restaurant throughout the week in pasta meatballs and pizza pretty much all there is to pick from. Eating away from the hotel we have only tried three places but would recommend them all, the outside inn for pie and pasties at lunch, the George for incredible burgers at lunch and La Pergola for something a bit special in the evening even though it was a bit pricey at €80 for two courses for a couple the food was exceptional. Something else to be aware of if you have a push chair, wheelchair or struggle with mobility this is probably not the place for you if you go out and about everything is up or down either a hill or lots of steps, for example directly outside reception to go up to the next street you go up the hill or up 117 steps. The room itself is spacious, clean and well maintained with a fridge, safe and two air conditioning units. Our only quibble would be if you were a larger or less abled person getting onto the toilet is extremely tricky I’m 6ft and found it a bit of a mission each time nature called! Our room was a ground floor pool view looking onto the main pool which is great for getting up to get sun beds in the morning even though they stay locked up until 8am then it’s a mad frenzy for 10 minutes while everyone gets where they want to go, 7:45 is usually a good time to get poolside and place a parasol where you’d like to be with your towels thrown on the base then you can grab the loungers at your leisure. If you have children the only things allowed in the pool are rubber rings or inflatables with a hole in, lilos are banned as are beach balls, balls, basically anything else and that’s all the lifeguards seem bothered about taking great pleasure in telling you not to do whatever you’re doing. The pool itself doesn’t usually open until around 10am when the corden is removed and shuts again around 7pm, the pool itself is not the warmest but you soon get used to it. It appears to be cleaned atleast every other day and seems very well looked after. Another small complaint would be there are only two cubicles each male and female as regards poolside/general toilets for the whole hotel, we found this way below par and we’re extremely thankful our room was right next door to the pool area! We’ve not taken part in any of the daytime entertainment but there’s always a full timetable of the usual activities, darts, ping pong, pool, volleyball, aerobics etc. The evening entertainment in our view is very poor and seems to be a running joke with people staying at the hotel, if you want to sit and watch you need to be down around an hour before it starts as seats tend to fill up quickly with families that are already there for the childrens entertainment which is on prior. All in all we found this a lovely well maintained hotel in a nice quiet location but absolutely cannot recommend it as an all inclusive, would’ve been brilliant as breakfast only or self catering.

Lovely holiday

Rooms are spacious and cleaned Monday Wednesday and Fridays, the cleaners are very good, enough equipment in the kitchen if you want to cook, good nice fridge with small freezer on the top. First day when we arrived we checked in nice and fast and went upstairs to the kids pool, the life guard there was very rude and made us feel very un welcome for a minute I worried this was not going to be a nice holiday, the children wernt allowed to go in the big pool even with an adult present and wernt allowed to play with there toys in the kids pool, we then decided to try the down stairs pool and what a difference our holiday began the children were in and out of the pool with there pool toys NO INFLATABLES and they were happy which made us happy, the life guard Sebastian was really really good he would move umbrellas for people who wanted shade and put sun beds where ever you wanted, he was always chatty and smiled a lot and made us all feel so welcome Thankyou Sebastian. The hotel is all you can ask for and expect really clean pool side pizzas and chips we’re a hit with the kids I would definitely come again Thankyou Vigilia park just a shame about the life guard on the 22nd may in the top pool the only thing that let the place down xxx

A bit of Italy in Tenerife

Reviewed By mrkm66

Casa Regina is amazing starting point for exploration of various faces of the Tenerife island. Matteo and Antonella an italian couple are running this house with love and care of every detail. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and nicely decorated using wood and stone. There is no place for anything made of plastic. The hosts are extremely helpfull and friendly. Most recommended.
