Reviewed By joeboy80The Hyatt Place is located in a very convenient location for activities in the Hurst/Colleyville area. It is an older property but it has been brought up to a very comfortable level. Breakfast is outstanding and staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Nice HI Express, perfect location
Reviewed By Melissa PWe were recently in town for a family event. Our event was in a little sketchier part of town, but we only had to drive a short distance to Holiday Inn. They are across the street from the Hurst Police Department and several other hotels, so we felt perfectly safe and even walked to dinner rather than drive. While the decor is a little dated with the heavy wood feel, you can tell it has been very well maintained. We were near the highway, but the room was very quiet. We reserved a suite which would allow a bit more room for our family to spread out. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. The complimentary breakfast was predictable, typical HI fare.

Reviewed By kennycM8353BUFront desk receptionist was unhelpful and would sit in the lobby playing videos on her laptop out loud for everyone to hear. Terrible experience. Better off staying at the holiday inn next door. Our flight was changed to an flight in the morning, so we tried to check in early, she said our room wasn’t ready. We proceeded to wait in the lobby and listen to hear talk on her personal phone and watch tv on her laptop out loud for two hours. We went back to ask for our room and it still wasn’t ready so we persisted and asked about any rooms and she said they had other rooms available the whole time. She was not looking out for the guests and provided the the absolute minimum effort to her guests.

Reviewed By rosarioe2016I chose this hotel for its location. Very clean. Nice rooms. No frills, but that is fine. Breakfast is very simple, but, free. But I was VERY surprised to hear our upstair neighbors so loudly. I could hear them walking. Running water. Slamming doors. They were up EARLY, too. I do not think I have experienced this in a hotel I have stayed at in years. Because of this, I would definitely not stay here again or any Fairfield Inn.

Hostile Front Desk Clerk (“Rick”)
Reviewed By zxalpha128The best part of this motel experience is a Front Desk man named Gino. The worst part of the motel experience is another Front Desk man who identifies himself by the name “Dick” (possibly short for “Richard?”). Rick (unmasked) literally likes to spit things out of his mouth when he is disgusted with a guest. Rick explained (yelled) that he is only responsible for what happens behind the plexiglass area of the front desk and nothing else. Rick explained that the glowing red letters displayed on the digital marquee, that reads “JESUS LOVES YOU!!!…”FREE C/Bkfst”…”FREE Local Phone Calls”, etc. is not his problem. The motel offered this guest none of the aforementioned amenities or privileges. The phone in the room was inoperable so, the wake up called requested the night before was impossible. There was no breakfast and hasn’t been for over a year at this property. The phone in the room did not work: couldn’t call out at all. Rick explained that phones are often stolen. The cigarette burns all over the stained blanket was nerve-wrecking so I got the car tarpe covering out of my car to sleep on the dingy, stain-ridden sheets one night. I checked out then decided to give the property a second chance with one additional night’s stay: two separate reservations. The bathroom light over the sink flickered while the bath tub itself had metal and rust stains from cracked porcelain, resulting in my request for a room change at 4:30AM. Rick was displeased and yelled at me from behind the plexi-glass front desk protection). He actually spit something out of his mouth while speaking to me: a COVID hazard with no mask. Rick demanded that I wait (25 minutes) and kept yelling “FREAKIN’ WAIT!“ before he decided to give me a new room key then refused to either write down the room number on the key card or enter a wake up call in a professional and timely manner. Rick further stated that he “guaranteed” that I would never be allowed to speak with the “Owner/Manager” about my grievance with the property and my health concerns with the rusty, exposed bath tub basin. He said the owner’s name was “Louis” As all this transpired, Rick allowed a strange woman to enter the hotel lobby and curse at me as I stood there in shock, waiting for a room change. Rick reiterated that he was “only in charge of what is behind the front desk plexi-glass area. The women continued her verbal assault for approximately 5 to 7 minutes, then exited the motel lobby. I said nothing to the woman in response. Rick told me that I would never get to share my complaint to the manager about my concerns.

Reviewed By RainbeauxsModern amenities. Clean, comfortable beds. Bathrooms are nice. Housekeeping offered on a weekly basis, but most times during my extended stay I did not receive housekeeping unless I called front desk to request. There are a lot of larger dogs staying with families, and the side entrance smelled like strong dog urine my last few days there.
