Located in a magnificent setting on the shores of a lake in the Eastern Townships, The St-Christophe Hotel-boutique & Spa will fulfill all your dreams with its geographic situation and its castle looks. The hotel is just a few minutes from Bromont and the Granby Zoo! It's a short walk from the town center with its boutiques, restaurants and theater. For outdoor enthusiasts, the hotel offers direct access to the scenic Green Route pedestrian and bike trail along the banks of the lake and through the National Yamaska Park, the Interpretation Centre of the nature of Lake Boivin, and through small villages and picturesque sites of the Eastern Townships. In addition, the hotel is close to the Wine Route, Ski centers, golf courses and offers attractive packages for all these activities.
Stay away! Enjoy the nice B&Bs around the area instead. Leftover hairs from previous visitors in the bathtub; cracked faux-leather loveseat flaking everywhere; bleached-smell sheets; squeaky and cracking bed; over-cooked food or drowned in sauce; badly soundproofed; staff walking around without masks; and, above all, non-empathetic customer service, especially a certain "Patrick" who was room service and front desk. He was condescending. The best part about the massage is while you are in the waiting area filling out your info, you are right next to the backdoor where people come in from the parking. It's dirty! This place thinks of itself as high-end but it's not. Trust the pictures from other visitors and not the staged photos by the establishment. We really wanted to love this place. There was no table (or coffee table) to eat properly in our room, and room service doesn't even leave you some trays. Keep in mind, if you wish to have your room service at a certain hour, let's say 7pm. Even if you request hours prior, their policy is they will start cooking and prepping your order at the hour and not plan it for you to have at the set hour. That's what they explained to us because we received ours at 7:55. If would have been good to know in advance because we planned our evening around this. If Patrick didn't have the attitude, we would have left some tip. Back in my days in tourisme & hotellerie, I would have fired this type of person from my staff. We decided to leave at 2 am in the morning because we couldn't stand the banging of the doors from another floor between Midnight to 1:20 am. They had no consideration for our concerns. They didn't even asked why. I'm not surprised that this place doesn't follow-up on bad reviews.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Principal from August 14-15, 2021. Here are some points I will share from our stay: - First I will say that the staff is awesome and great service - We rented two rooms side by side on the main floor, one single and one double - Check in is only at 4:00 and check out is noon. One room was not completely prepared and had fruit flies and one room had used masks left in it - Rooms were average but no complaints, they have updated nicely but still need some work - WIFI is offered but does not work. Had one staff member tell me it doesn't always work since the router cannot handle the usage and another one check that I was using the proper information as she informed me it always works however we had none... - The walls are VERY thin and you hear EVERYTHING. We had a bowling alley on top of us with three young kids running, banging and screaming all night and all morning and the rooms on either side were the same with kids running up and down the hallway the whole time and having a very loud party in their room next to ours until past midnight with the staff not being able to reach them by knocking on their door or calling their room. We were told they are allowed until 10:00 PM and then the noise must stop or they risk having to pay a charge of $150 for excessive noise as per hotel policy. I do not wish ill on anyone however I do hope this was enforced (although I doubt it) and it really made our stay very unpleasant and we could not rest and relax or get much sleep. - In conclusion, great family hotel for young kids. If you want rest and relaxation, not the place to go. Bring ear plugs and make sure you have a good data plan. Hope this was useful.

This owner tries hard to maintain an appealing property. Closes at 10:00 PM full or not, eliminates late night drunks , rowdies, undesirables, etc. They have "packages" tickets included for Granby Zoo attendees. Pool and area are impeccable, grassy areas for children's games.

Other than the very friendly woman at the front desk, there is a lot wrong with this property. Upon first glance, the room looked fine, but on closer inspection, the laminate floor was extremely dusty and the bathroom floor dirty. It took 5 minutes to get hot water from the shower. There were 2 entrance/exit doors and the locks were a joke- old key entry and night latches in both doors that a toddler could have kicked in. When we arrived, the back door wasn’t even locked. My friend was afraid to sleep here unless I agreed to keep the bathroom light on all night. It’s an old style L shaped motel with an outdoor pool in the middle and could be okay with a LOT of work. The surrounding area was not nice and when I went for a walk, the only option was to walk along the busy road. The only place I saw to get a bite to eat was a take out pizza place. I would never return.

We spent 4 nights at La Maison Collins enjoying our spacious room, cozy dining area and reading and eating on the porch. The breakfasts created by Alain were delicious, I managed to try a different choice each day. Hosts were helpful and made us feel their home was ours while staying. Perfect location for cycling (which we enjoyed 4 days of) and walking to main street's restaurants and attractions.

The Magnolia B&B is style art deco and located in the historic up-town section of Granby. Most major attractions and restaurants are all located within minutes. The Zoo is at less then 2 kilometre. The rooms are spacious and confortables. Full breakfast serve. Don't forget to taste our home made jams and marmelades.
I stayed here for three nights. Owner was friendly. The room was clean, small, but no wi-if available, though it was advertised. It had to be accessed in the living room. The first night had difficulty getting to sleep early because my window gave onto the back patio, where the owners family was having a get together and people were laughing and talking loudly. The room was not made up when I returned to my room at the end of the first day. No bed made. No turn down service. I slept better the second and third nights and bed was made up second day. The rate was $83 per night, which is not exorbitant but next time I will be staying in hotel.

We visited Granby to do a bike tour of the lake. We only stayed one night but really enjoyed it. The room and bath were very clean and comfortable. The new owner and her assistant are charming, generous and gracious. The old furniture in the living room needs a bit of upgrading but was perfectly serviceable. We will certainly return when we go back for our bike trip next year!
