Conveniently situated in the quaint farming town of Grabouw which lies at the center the picturesque Elgin Valley. Being only 70 kilometers from Cape Town, it’s the perfect setting for a quick escape from the city to enjoy the charm of country life. Grabouw Accommodation The pace slows down as you come over the Hottentots Holland Mountains and enter into a lush patchwork valley scattered with vineyards, orchards and an abundance of roses. Immerse yourself in the magnificent scenery while enjoying a variety of local attractions like the Elgin Railway Market, the Elgin steam train, wine farms or for the more adventurous the Cape Canopy Tours, or simply relax and put your feet up. One could also use your Grabouw accommodation as base from which to explore the Overberg region and surrounds.
My stay at Villa Eike was extremely pleasant. The host was very welcoming and friendly on arrival. The Property is very safe and secure. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, neat, clean and homely. Will definitely recommend this accommodation in future.

We stayed at the cottages overlooking the dam. They are attached to each other so It might be a problem if they are all occupied by strangers that are not considerate. This place was better than the pictures on the website. We had the whole place to ourselves, nice and peaceful. The hosts welcomed us as well as see us off the Sunday, enquiringly about our stay and experience. We unfortunately only stayed one night. We will be back for sure. Leon and Noeleen.

We stayed two nights here. Lovely house, room, garden! Tasting room nearby, open 10-16 and they serve also great food. My four pizzas and four wines was wonderful combo. Short distance to CPT - out of all urban hassle. Really nice location to rest after long flight from Europe - or get prepared to return home. Garden is so beautiful and well kept! House itself is very nice and we enjoyed our room. Everything works so well, bed is really good. Bathroom exceptionally well planned and equipped. By honesty bar you can watch TV - or have better entertainment with stylish fireplace. On clear night remember to visit again outdoor to check the sky - just take a place where light of Grabouw can be shadowed. And after delicious and big breakfast you are not hungry to hit the road. Of course, behind all this is friendly and skillful staff!

Paul and Nicky Wallace purchased their 25 hectare farm in September 2003 and immediately set out to create their own little piece of heaven. The two labourer's cottages, converted to self-catering accommodation, are perfect for a getaway to the country. Surrounded by vineyards, natural dams with abundant bird life and unparalleled sunsets, this is a little piece of paradise. Each cottage has a well equipped kitchenette, with a microwave, four plate stove top, fridge/freezer and other necessary amenities. The living area is open plan with the kitchenette and has a fireplace to keep things cosy in the cold, along with a TV with full DSTV. The two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a king (which can be made up as two single beds), come with wall heaters and electric blankets and are separated by a shared bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. Firewood, charcoal and firelighters are provided for both the inside fireplace and the braai outside.
The cottages are in a wonderfully scenic location with lovely views over the surrounding vineyards. It's beautifully quiet too, making for a great night's sleep. There are three dogs that have the roam of the vineyard who are extremely friendly and accompanied us as we explored the vineyard and lakes. The cottage had everything we needed and the bed was big and comfy. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it seemed to have everything required for self catering. We had a wonderful stay and it was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday.
