The hotel is centrally located with great restaurants right down the street. Safeway is across the street. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, pancakes, eggs, meat. They do have coffee and hot water out all day which was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and spacious! The pool was small, but we enjoyed it. Overall a very nice place and we enjoyed our stay!

Hideaway Mountain Lodge

Hideaway Mountain Lodge is a great place for family's groups or individuals to stay. Nestled in Spring Valley with mountains all around us, the views are spectacular. We are next to the Arapaho National Forest and 10 miles from Winter Park resort. We offer a great place if you just want to relax on our decks or by the indoor pool or if you want a place to recharge after taking in one of the many mountain adventures in the area. Our lodge has 13 rooms and can sleep 40 plus comfortably. We have a variety of rooms including two suites, seven large rooms, and four moderate size rooms. Each room has a private entry to the room and a private bathroom. Wood burning fireplaces are in 11 of the 13 rooms. We offer plans for individual room booking, package room booking, or whole lodge booking. Each booking includes breakfast made by our professional chef, along with daily room cleaning.

Great place to "Hide Away"

We had a very enjoyable 10 days at Hideaway Mountain Lodge. This was our second stay with Mike and Carla. The Lodge is less than 20 minutes from the Winter Park ski area. The atmosphere is very relaxed and breakfast is delicious! You receive a menu the day before and simply check off what you want, as well as the time you'd like to eat. All you have to do is show up at the dining room and your individually made hot breakfast appears at your table within minutes. Our personal favorites are the various versions of french toast, but the egg dishes are excellent as well. You have a choice of juices, teas, and keurig coffees. The rooms are very comfortable. At least a couple rooms have wood burning fireplaces but we prefer the Starlight room with an electric fireplace insert that we can simply turn on and off at any time. The beds are great and have the best sheets that we have ever slept on. For those "10 below" days when you really don't want to ski, there's a pool table, hundreds of DVDs and VHS tapes, as well as an indoor swimming pool and hot tub. The lighting in the rooms is excellent. There are no TVs in the rooms but you can choose from over 600 movies that you can watch while sitting in comfy chairs in either the game room or the library. Their internet connection is great. Don't forget the afternoon treat of fresh baked cookies and a cup of hot cocoa, coffee or tea when you get back from the slopes. Mike and Carla are great hosts and treat everyone as family. We plan on returning for the next ski season. Hideaway Mountain Lodge is 3 or 4 miles off of US 40. In case your GPS fails, there are several easy to see signs pointing you in the right direction.

Pines at Meadow Ridge

Dingey and Disappointing

Reviewed By CarolAnnTravels

There's no staff at this resort to answer questions. You can leave a message for them though and maybe they'll get back to you. They message constantly asking for check-in time and departure time. Strict no pet policy yet we see dogs everywhere (yeah, I might be a little bitter that I couldn't bring my dogs) We've had workmen doing renovations downstairs and next door which wouldn't be an issue except I have a sick kid who has to listen to banging and mariachi music all day everyday (Even Sunday). Water stains and discoloration on the ceilings. The folks at the amenity center weren't particularly friendly either. Said they were not affiliated with the resort? Only nice things I can say are there's a pretty view and it's conveniently located. Maybe I'm just in a snit because my kid is sick, there's nothing open this time of year, and the weather has been unseasonably cold. All I know is I will never come back.

45th Wedding anniversary getaway

Contactless checkin was very easy. An envelope with key and pertinent information with our name and room number was in the lockbox with combination to the lock being sent by email a few days prior to arrival. The unit was very clean with all the amenities one would need. The units were older but very well kept up. We were going to hike a few trails and this was a great base for that. Since it was our anniversary we decided to take the hot air balloon ride as our present to each other. The Grand Balloon Adventure was 5 minutes away from the resort and well worth the money! After hiking we took a soak in the private hot tub that was in each room. That got rid of the stiff muscles after hiking! Rocky Mountain National park was a 1 hour drive away with fantastic views and lots of hiking trails. We brought our inflatable kayak and paddled on Grand Lake which was beautiful. Winter park ski hill is also about 10 minutes away for winter visitors. The bed in the master bedroom had a sleep number queen mattress that could be adjusted to your preference. I would recommend Indian Peaks Resort in a heartbeat.

Nothing Fancy but Great Location

Reviewed By 2xboymom

The unit was VERY clean and well maintained. It's an older property with no frills. Location is great. 10 min drive to Winter Park ski Resort. Multiple restaurants along the way. We had 3BR unit. Great for 4 adults. Too small for more than 4 in one living area. Upstairs is loft with small bedroom and full bath. Downstairs has 2 BR and one full bath. Hot water in upstairs shower not great. Everyone ended up taking hot showers downstairs. We skied, hiked and rode snowmobiles during the day; cooked dinner and binged Netflix at night. No W/D in unit. There is one across parking lot. That is my biggest con for this property. Due to Covid, there was no linen exchange. Washing towels is just easier with W/D in unit. Location is 10 mins or less to local recreation-skiing, snowmobile, hiking, tubing, skating, etc. Trailhead is next to parking lot. 6 miles to Winter Park resort if you want to walk it! The location would get a higher rating if restaurants were close enough to walk to. Due to COVID, we ordered take out or ate in every night so not being walking distance wasn't an issue. We woudl stay here again in the future.
