Cave provides the perfect eclectic mix for a relaxing and memorable stay, with a variety of modern, luxurious accommodation, an indulgent pool area, spa, gym, incredible golf at Boughton, and wood-smoked cuisine inspired from across the globe in its two on site restaurants. Conveniently located within a short drive from Canterbury, Cave is set to be Kent’s next destination hotel and restaurant.
My stay at The Cave Hotel was immaculate. The experience was 10/10. The room and the hotel were very clean and beautiful. The staff were beyond amazing, all very friendly and professional. The service we received from Lucy was great, she was helpful, knowledgable and very attentive. The food at Korean Cowgirl was so tasty and delicious. We had a very dreamy experience at Cave Hotel and would definitely be returning! A truly amazing experience. Thank you to the Cave Hotel team!

After 3 weeks travelling the UK and The Irish Republic, how excellent was it to find a hotel room with refrigerator and washing machine, something lacking in every hotel experienced so far. Beautiful grounds. Loved the evening meal and the full buffet breakfast served by helpful and friendly staff.

Clean, comfy room in a hotel that sadly is so close to the main road, it’s VERY noisy, & there is NOWHERE to walk to! I was hoping for a country pub within walking distance…on hindsight I SHOULD have researched the proximity but booked in a hurry!

My Husband and I stayed at the Sun Inn for 3 nights over Easter. We parked in a very nearby carpark called Partridge Lane and used the Ringo App. This is a fantastic place to stay. We booked in just before 3 o'clock and had a couple of drinks. There is a wide selection of beers, wine and other drinks. The staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. Our room was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and had good bedding. The bathroom was very clean and we were given a good selection of complimentary toiletries. The décor of the room was a high standard, with a new carpet and everything we needed, with plenty of coat hangers etc. Our room looked out onto the outside seating dining area, but we were not bothered by noise, as there was good double glazing. We were offered the opportunity to reserve a place in the restaurant every evening, and given priority as we were staying there. We didn't dine in the restaurant in the evenings as we were out a lot, we would highly recommend that you do book if you want to eat in, as the restaurant was very busy. We had breakfast 3 times and it was excellent, The staff were always on hand to help, and the house keeping staff were always helpful when we asked for extra milk etc. The room was cleaned daily and there was a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Highly recommend this beautiful Inn, and will be visiting again :)

The Plough Inn is a special place with a special past and a special present. This Grade II-listed medieval Wealden Hall house is lovingly preserved in all of its authentic glory, home to a restaurant and bar, and set in a tranquil garden with low-key luxury style accommodation tucked away in a newly-built Kent barn. Set high up on Kent Downs in an area of outstanding natural beauty, this is a little island of peacefulness where wonderful English things have been preserved and are waiting to be rediscovered. A separate accommodation wing - newly built in Kentish barn style - guarantees peace and quiet. Six unique mezzanine suites enjoy individual entrances giving guests direct access to a private garden and the downs. There’s high standards of comfort, cleanliness and attention to detail and simple but genuine pleasures: comfortable rooms with a choice of pillows, Tassimo coffee machines, high pressure walk-in showers, double-ended baths - and cooked breakfasts delivered to your door. Rooms can be set up for couples or families and dogs are welcome. Enjoy personal service that goes the extra mile to make guests happy. Set in a rare medieval Wealden Hall, this independent inn is owned and run by a chef-patron and professional hotelier who together offer a quintessential English retreat - welcoming, comfortable, peaceful with exceptional food, drinks and service. The Plough has authentic interiors - polished wood, cosy nooks, beams and open fires - and is surrounded by unspoiled English countryside that you can explore from the front door of your suite. Step out onto chalk grassland down paths that meander around the traditional village or take a trip to local vineyards, coastal towns and historic attractions. Exceptional and award-winning food created and cooked on-site by a classically trained Chef-patron with an adventurous streak. There’s homemade bread and brioche, traditional pub fare and a surprising repertoire of special dishes that celebrate seasonal Kentish country and coastal produce with lots of menu choice - including picnics. A traditional bar with low beams and log fires is well-stocked with fine wines from Kent and beyond, local ales and ciders, four hand-pumps with rotating selection of local brews - and a collection of 26 gins and 14 rums courtesy of an ongoing battle of the spirits between the patrons.
Back for our third visit and we can’t rate The Plough Inn enough. A lovely warm welcome as always and the facilities are amazing! The room was heaven sent and I loved the added bonus of the bath robes this time around. Our son has allergies to wheat and nuts so it is always a worry when we eat out/stay at a hotel. Again we were able to put our trust in Richard and Marianne as Harry could enjoy his dinner without stress. The breakfast was excellent too! Our son also loved the new play park area which is a new addition. Thank you!

The Railway Hotel is a classic spacious Victorian hotel with seven en-suite bedrooms. Each room is comfortably appointed with ample tea/coffee making facilities, free unlimited wireless broadband and large car park.
We booked in our local hotel restaurant tonight for dinner at Judds Folly. I didn't quite realise you can eat in the amazing restaurant and enjoy the new bar as a guest and not as a hotel resident! The cocktails were amazing and then we had a two course meal and I had to share a photo of my Fish platter, lots of variations of different Fish, delicious. My Top compliments to the chef. Fair prices also We will be back, Thank you!

We recently had a wonderful stay at The White Horse in Boughton and have already recommended it to lots of our friends. We stayed in the Nightingale Suite and were blown away with all the little extra touches which really demonstrate the amount of care and attention gone into the recent renovation. Homemade treats on check-in, White Company toiletries, high-thread toweling robes, 'proper' coffee and exquisite bedding were just some of the highlights in an extensive list of highlights! Our evening meal was delicious, so delicious in-fact that we had to check-out ASAP the next morning before being tempted back in from the smells of the lovely Sunday roast being prepared. I personally opted for tempura batter Monk fish tail and scallops on curried cauliflower. Both were faultless. We look forward to returning soon!

Three of us stayed here for 3 nights. Bedroom 1 was marvellous - huge four poster bed, spacious room and large bathroom, plus a roll top bath in the bedroom. Very minor point - water pressure is poor. Room clean and warm. The other room in the attic was also great. All rooms are different, all characterful, all clean and reallly nice welcoming and comfortable. All 8 rooms were occupied whilst we were there but we heard no noise so slept really well. Breakfast was limited but fine - cereal, full english (including veggie option). As much tea and coffee as you want. Great service. The evening meal was superb. Perfectly cooked venison, guinea fowl (usually tough in my experience) was soft and tasty and the steak was one of the best I've had. This family-run pub was a real find. The owners were great and all the staff so friendly and efficient. They are aiming at the gourmet-pub food market and in my view should succeed. It was excellent value and a great stay - I rarely risk staying in pubs because of mixed experiences but I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this one both to stay, and for a special meal at a more than reasonable price.
