Authentic and cozy
Reviewed By WoodsideStablesThis is real Germany! The hotel oozes charm from the front door. The proprietor made me feel like family from the moment I walked in. They even have a cute little resident dog to greet you. I ate dinner in the restaurant and it is authentic old school German. The half timber beams and German music playing softly in the back ground are like a hug from Oma. I had the Zander Filet (fish) and Rote Gruetze for desert. Both very good and very classic. My room is cozy and welcoming, complete with a little bag of gummi bears on my pillow. The bathroom is newly renovated and done in a modern but complementing style- quite swanky actually! If you are coming to see Hameln, the city of the Pied Piper, do your self a favor and stay here and go into the city for the day. This is REAL Germany! "Sehr Gemütlich"

Reviewed By Daniel968A quiet hotel with a good greek restaurant. Is clean, but the bath instalation don't work properly. They have to improve them also lingerie and furniture. Average the price is right for Germany. The breakfast is OK.

Reviewed By Francis47We have just returned home to the U.K. after a 2 week touring holiday to Deutschland in our car. This was our second stay at the Schloss and for many wonderful reasons, this exquisite place will call us back and back again now. Their is a sense of history and tradition here. When you turn into the magnificent courtyard, you do feel rather special. We spent 6 nights here and could have spent many more as we were so comfortable and utterly entranced. After a superb breakfast each morning served in a lovely dining room by kind and charming folk, my wife and I always " did a turn " .....an English expression !.....in the lovely grounds and sat by the blossoming trees in peace and contentment. Our room in the Castle was lovely and we slept well in utter peace and quiet. We never heard another sound, either from outside in the grounds or from other guests. The Schloss is set in magnificent hills with views of farmland and forests. We drove out on some days to tour the countryside and travel the quiet roads of the Weserbergland. And finally the food. We dined either in the Bar or the Cellar Restaurant each evening and the menu and the service was first class. So, we thankyou dear Schlosshotel Muenchhausen for making our stay so memorable and we are already planning our dates to return in October.

Reviewed By Nadav HIt was graet time Mr.hermann and Renate good food they are very kindly. The best hotel in Aerzen. On wednesday the restaurant in the hotel was close Mr. Hermann took me to restaurant in Hamline it was realy graet tlme.

Unser Hotel hat 6 modern renovierte (2021) Zimmer im Landhausstil. Des weiteren verfügen wir seit Juli 2015 über 3 Baumhäuser mit Komfort (Kochnische, Bad, Heizung, TV, Balkon und W-Lan), alle sind allergikergerecht eingerichtet. Folglicherweise sind Tiere und Rauchen im Hotel und Baumhaus NICHT gestattet. Das Baumhaus Ahornhöhe ist barrierefrei über eine Brücke vom Parkplatz aus ebenerdig zu erreichen.

We stayed at the Waldquelle because it was close to my parents and I did know that my parents like the restaurant a lot. The room we had had a good size and was clean. The staff is friendly, the owners are there every day. The restaurant menu is very good and the food tasty, very typical German kitchen, loved it! The breakfast buffet is very good as well, the Chef in person was there everyday and made the experience very personal with egg and coffee or tea service. The hotel is laying in a very beautiful location, directly in a forest. Springtime and summer are beyond beautiful.

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Frühstück kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich es nicht in Anspruch genommen habe. Preis/Leistung absolut in Ordnung.

Reviewed By Hannomed1981Der Lönskrug ist eine Gastwirtschaft im Ortsteil Grupenhagen von Aerzen. Der Empfang war trotz Vorbestellung wenig herzlich. Die einzige Bedienung an diesem Abend war wortkarg und kaum zu verstehen. Leider dauerte der Getränkeservice unheimlich lange. Das Ambiente des Gastraums ist bereits deutlich angegraut. Hier darf definitiv ein wenig renoviert u. modernisiert werden. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das tadellose und geschmacklich sehr gute Essen an diesem Abend. Leider wurde der Spargel der Tageskarte nur dem Nebentisch offeriert, nachdem unsere Bestellungen schon aufgegeben waren. Fazit: Essen sehr gut, Service leider auf ganzer Linie versagt. Schade...
