My partner and i were having a lovely day and decided to pop into the Ivy for a drink as it was a warm day .It was not very busy and there was a child playing with a book near the bar and we waited patiently and we were next in line but the manager decided to ignore us and serve her friends firstand seem to treat the regulars better ( i have had this experience a lot in sleaford adnd ther is alot of clickiness in sleaford too ) apart from the barge and bottle wehre there is always a smiley face and and every one gets treated equally. The manager said she would be with us ina a minute adn continued to serve her friends/family but we decided to leave and got the Barge where our presence was more welcomed

We stayed for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend, a very unique establishment, friendly and helpful staff and they even accommodated our friend for breakfast. Parking available nearby. Interesting room decor, it was quite noisy because of the bar area downstairs however we were warned of this prior to coming so can’t complain. Good stay. Would recommend.

We arrived late but had no issues with gaining access, our room was all ready for us and the shower was excellent, hot and powerful, just what was needed after our long travel. We were travelling with our dog and this was catered for and we received exceptional hospitality.

Arrived in the rain and was met by a friendly lady who instantly showed me to a nice large room which was spotless. I noticed the quality bedding as well. My shower was sometimes hot and sometimes cool and tiny but enough of that because I was only in there 5 minutes before hoofing it down to the bar where I had 3 lovely pints whilst chatting to some interesting folk and the landlord. One great ploughman's and chips later and I was heading back up for a great sleep to leave at 06:30 next morning, before breakfast. I was happy and it was still raining !
