Wonderful. Beautiful bedding, good air conditioner, terraces over the river, free coffee and tea. Great service. I accidentally left my computer charger in the room after check out, and the woman there went around town looking for me to make sure I got it back.

Spartan, wooden, traditional guest house that takes you unpretendely to an other era.Very simple rooms looking over the river, but with a genuine feeling. From the bus station pass across the pedestrian hanging bridge and it is 100m.to the left.Next to it there is a cafeteria with nice views. The hospitable owner can cook you a delicious big dinner with Lao whiskey for only 3 euros per person.Room price about 5 euros the double

Practical when you do not have another bus to where you want yo go..! The lady is almost Nice but does not speak english.. It was clean. 100000LaK the night. I did not see the restaurant working. Only 1 bus per day to reach Muang Khua. From Boun Neua the best option is probably to take the bus from Oudomxay or come back to Phongsaly and Hatsa.

This is the type of place that is still in business because of a good location. I stayed one night and that was too much. The room is clean, sheets/towels etc. were fine, ac worked and that was all. They make no effort, no English spoken and the din't even know the wifi password. For less money some of the guesthouses were better and offered at least coffee

Wasn't terrible if you are comparing it to reviews for other Phonsaly hotels. A 2 relative to my overall experiences with hotels in Laos. -80000 kip -shower in toilet -no flush toilet, use a bucket, but there was TP -electrical unit sparked -a lizard -limited English -view of other people's backyard/laundry -ceiling had cracked paint and some type of stain -small -free water

It's disappointing that no one has reviewed Nam Ou since my visit in March. Did my review put people off? It's still the same cheap rundown place. Access is by a set of uneven steps near the market or equally precarious steps up from the boat landing. Last time I was pleasantly surprised to have hot water. No such luck this time. I had a cold shower. The restaurant does not appear to function, but the terrace has a great river view.

The rooms were sufficient, not much else in the small town.Bad wifi. Cleanliness was ok. Beds were more comfortable than a lot of places we have stayed in! Definite positive. We are a couple with our 9 year old son.We found the staff relatively friendly.
