Tucked in lush tropical landscape and with a crystalline coastline, Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu is the premier, award-winning deluxe resort property in the Philippines. It has won acclaim from both domestic and international travelers for its spacious and well-appointed 530 guestrooms and suites, the variety of its dining, entertainment, sports and recreational activities offered in its paradise-like setting and as home to CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, one of the largest spa villages in Asia.Nestled amidst 13 hectares of lush greenery, landscaped gardens and with a 350-meter white-sand beach, Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu is the quintessential modern-day paradise. It is an exciting refuge for nature lovers and a favorite among holidaymakers, as it combines rustic surroundings, modern conveniences and genuine Asian hospitality that are distinctly Shangri-La.
Shangri-La has always lived up to its name as a 5-star hotel that puts its customers above everything else. I was impressed with the hotel’s security because vehicles are thoroughly checked upon entry, and guests’ bags have to pass through a scanner every time they re-enter the hotel. Our room was very clean and smelled fresh when we arrived, and a wide selection of different cuisines is available for its guests. Aside from the hotel’s nearness to the airport, getting a cab or Grab is very easy. Because the Shang Mactan used to be the country’s biggest resort, guests can spend their entire stay there without having to leave the hotel premises. Their rates are reasonable (I call it affordable luxury), and the staff very helpful. The employees are not used to speaking Tagalog though so perhaps they can brush up on that.

The Henann Resort Alona Beach still is the place to go if you go to Panglao. The Staff is amazing, the Pool Villas are great with the private plunge pools and our son loved it. The beach is public so expect some crowds on weekend but overall it is still well maintained and relatively clean. As far as food goes, the Buffet at the Sea Breeze Cafe is great value for money and Christina's surely is a great place to dine as well. The Breakfast Buffet at Coral is all right and serves it's purpose but not always complete (no Bacon for example). Personally the only thing I could say was not really perfect. The various pools are great and well maintained as well. The whole property is well maintained and kept clean. Overall, can only recommend it. Will be visiting again.

Synonymous with luxury and personalized service, Crimson Resort and Spa, a 5 star beach front resort is the new destination to experience. Nestled in one of the country's most prestigious tourist destinations, this exclusive piece of paradise is just 15 minutes away from the Mactan International Airport.
From booking to check-out, my customer journey was impeccable. Booking was easy; even editing and adding more rooms was not a problem. A few days prior to checking-in, the reservations team called us first to confirm booking and accommodated all our questions, especially regarding travel requirements. On day of check-in, our flight was rescheduled earlier. Despite this, the reception checked us in earlier, and while waiting for our room, we were allowed to use the resort's amenities. Our rooms were clean. The villa we stayed was very spacious, perfect for my family of 4. The whole resort was large enough that it didn't feel crowded even if there were a lot of guests. The amenities are perfect for all family members whether young or old. The seniors who were with me was able to enjoy the pool since it was heated. Food in all restaurant outlets were delicious and reasonably priced for a hotel food. All the staff were courteous and welcoming. Service was quick. One of the best resorts I've stayed in.

Our second time booking here since the first one was unforgettable in a good way. Sad to say this second time will be our last time after all we have experienced. Pros: We loved Amorita we shared and recommend to our friends how exclusive and relaxing this place is and always will be . Our bad experinces: Chek in - We waited 2h after check in time to get to our room since it was not yet ready. Before, they give you a Tour around the whole resort to know the facilities and where tos. Unfortunately that did not happen this time. After the welcome drink we were informed about bfast time Buffet and asked to give our personal infos and our departure infos. Hold on we just arrive and you want to know already when we are leaving? Instead of asking our departure you could have check that we get information as to what amenities we can enjoy during our stay since we never had any of this infos in our room . Rooms - in our 5 days of stay I never NOT heard the loud noises of people running and going around the second floor. it was like hearing some construction worker when people go up and down the stairs. We were not warned by this ,needless to say you can keep a sign on the stair way to walk normally up and down . Might as well have your Stair maintained or checked. Room Cleaning bombarded the Toilet with Chlorine for cleaning and there was no air vent in this small room it was a horror doing your thing inside. The smell actually got worst on our last day of stay. Water on the Floor , from AC or leaking ? No idea how water went into the floor overnight when the room was closed and we were sleeping. Last but not the least Breakfast buffet - in our 5 days of stay we only have 1 decent and relaxing breakfast in Amorita, only when we woked up ealier to have it at 7am.Otherwise forget a quiet relaxing breakfast! If you are lucky to find a clean table ready otherwise you have to wait untill someone notice you and initiate to clean and prepare your table. Worst case you eat without utensils since the table is not ready and you have already gone get your food before everything. The Horror is also you eat without Water or Coffee since nobody cares to bring or ask you for coffee. Bottom line , please Management delegate your workers what to do or have the initiative to check on your guest needs. Amorita has lost its Amor to us and we hope Management will bring it back again.

The 24-hectare coral island, located on the Southeastern tip of Cebu, is home to Bluewater Sumilon. Pristine white sand beaches abound. Its sandbar is known for its changing shapes and shifting locations around the island, depending on the season. There is a natural lagoon teeming with high mangroves. On the south side, a lighthouse rests on a protected tree park and a "Baluarte", a 19th century historical watchtower. It is also home to the Philippines' first marine sanctuary. At Bluewater Sumilon, let the islander's easy-going friendliness shine through and keep the pace low-key enough to let you feel pampered.
This is a beautiful Island. Now we didn't stay at the resort but traveled to the beach on Sumilo Island. I can tell you it's incredible. The waters of the ocean are breathtaking. You catch a small vessel across to the island. Then you have plenty of time to swim and enjoy the beach. Now be careful about the weather and how hot it gets. There is shade close to the beach. But it's limited. Above the beach is places to relax and sit in the shade. Food is allowed but not on the beach. Worth the ride out to discover something new.
