We are one of the UK's leading museums for British military aviation history. Boasting 40 fixed wing and rotary aircraft on site, we have fascinating exhibits and a wonderful 'Apache Cafe' looking out over the busy Middle Wallop Army Air Corps airfield.
If you want to see helicopters and light aircraft albeit retired ones, and see displays of army flying in history to the present day then this is for you. It needs time to enjoy as there is a lot of detail, so either go solo or accompanied only if your companions are really interested in this sort of history. A very good few hours can be spent at this museum. Plenty of safe parking space in the grounds.

Visited with family - beautiful gardens, well maintained and very peaceful environment. Parking and access was easy. The farm shop and nursery a short drive away is also well worth a visit.

The gardens at Houghton Lodge are Grade II* listed, and surround an enchanting and unique example of an 18th Century "Cottage Orné". A haven of peace above the tranquil beauty of the River Test with both informal and formal gardens. Chalk Cob walls enclose a traditional Kitchen Garden with espaliers, themed herb garden, wildflowers and a wonderful Orchid House which include many rare varieties. In early summer the fragrant peonies line the stunning Rose Arbour path leading to hidden corners of the garden. The herbaceous border has year long beauty, bursting with bulbs in the spring, a tapestry of colour in the summer, and dahlias to brighten your heart in the autumn. Enjoy over 15 acres of meadows and walks along the picturesque River Test and meet resident Alpacas, Tom, Dick, Harry and Herbert plus a snorting Topiary "Dragon" Enjoy specialist coffees, teas, light lunches and homemade cakes in Honesty tearooms and art exhibitions in The Orangery.
Went to the gardens with friends Thursday, what a lovely place to visit, first time we've been here. Very well organised , staff very friendly, gardens and grounds were really lovely and the apple trees were amazing so many apples and you were allowed to take home any fallen ones, I took some beautiful cooking apples, The house is beautiful and the grounds were great,. Alpaca's and sheep in the field and the lovely riverside worth a stroll round. All in all a lovely place to visit.
