Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park

The address is a mailing address, but the cave HQ is maybe another 20 miles from Preston, MN so don't use it for your GPS device.

I had a fantastic time camping with my family at the Forestville state park. There's a nice little loop/community of sites for visitors to set up. Lush, moss-covered trees everywhere, and fortunately placed near ample hiking trails and long winding paths. While I typically expect many bugs, when we visited in early August there were very few flies or mosquitos. There are vault toilets, no shower facility, and fountain of running water for filling bottles or drinking from directly. Each campsite has a durable firepit and picnic table. Owls, raccoons, fireflies, and distant coyotes at night. I will definitely be returning to the Forestville State Park :)
