Artsans Guild

Reviewed By ragiansanti34 - Staffordshire, United Kingdom

Artisan's Guild is a lovely gallery housing local talent. They feature handmade decorations, jewerly, cards, paintings, and photos. One of the things I was really impressed by were the Christmas trees that are made out of vintage jewerly. They are lovely and come in a range of different sizes. Another beautiful creation are the Christmas wreaths made of vintage Christmas bulbs, they are so innovative and would look fantastic displayed in any home. I just read that the Artisan's Guild is closing 11 December. This is very sad. It is such a unique shop, filled with immense creativity and supports local artists. There is a gofundme page, I hope they are able to raise the money needed to keep the shop open. They are currently open Wednesday - Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 12-4. Please check them out. It would be a pity for the community and visitors if they close for good.

Campbell Falls State Park

We found this by just entering "Campbell Falls State Park" into Google maps (or maybe Apple Maps). It led us to a small parking lot with a pleasant hiking trail of a mile or a little less to the falls. Most of the path is very easy, but there is a small portion at the end with a somewhat steep drop to the base of the falls. There are no blazes on the trail, but it is easy to follow. It is well marked at the trail head. We did find that there is another parking lot even closer to the falls, which we passed on the way.

Intimate, beautiful, great acoustics! One of the best concert halls I've ever been in. Saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Do yourself a favor and go to Norfolk and spend a night or weekend in a great B&B. Great getaway!

Haystack Mountain State Park

Reviewed By CT_Traveler784 - Pomfret, United States

You drive halfway up on a paved road and then follow the hiking trail to the top. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Hike is short but steep, views from the tower are totally worth it. It was a beautiful clear day and we could see the Berkshires!
