The Wood'n Spoon

Reviewed By girlkellygirl - New York City, United States

This place had a little bit of everything, including about 12 different varieties of homemade cookies! We are so happy we stopped by and met the nice owner. His daughter is an amazing artist who also had handmade candles and postcards for sale. What a treat!

Central Mine

Reviewed By 145chadd - Yale, United States

My wife and I had some extra time, so we thought we'd stop off and see what Central Mine was all about. This is a very well preserved ghost town left over from a booming mining industry. There are hiking paths, and along the paths, you will find apple, pincherry, and plum trees; as well as sweet peas that mark out where someone once called home. We only had time to hike a few trails, and didn't venture too far into the buildings. We are planning on going back next year, and will definitely be spending more time here.

Delaware Copper MineTours

Unguided, below-ground tours of abandoned copper mine. Tries to present realistic portrayal of what miners experienced during their daily work underground.

Went to do the Delaware mine tour and glad we did. Ther is so much history and statistics of yester years gone by. Allow yourself alot a time at least a hour and a half or longer. Its amazing to find out just how much copper was mined from this mine alone. You watch a short video and then journey down 100 steps, or 100 feet underground, where you begin your walking journey. Amazing how much they did back in the day with the tools they had. I highly recommend all ages visit this historic mine. Just a quick tip when coming up hwy 41, you need to turn left or right onto a short gravel road and watch for signs close by. Go enjoy Snowman.
