Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic young man gave us a tour of this train depot museum, sharing lots of human interest stories. If you are interested in the 1800's , especially the civil war, segregation, lobo wolves - you will enjoy this museum. I wish I had bought one of the books on Kane at the giftshop as I forget some of the names and details of its very accomplished families and interesting history. A former slave whose name I forget, became a very successful entrepreneur and prominent in the community. Kane was never segregated by race, even when the train station waiting rooms were segregated by sex. I called for the hours, and even though the museum wasn't open on Tuesdays we were told to come and he would open to give us a tour.

My sister and I stopped in here twice over our weekend stay in the area. We enjoyed it so much Friday evening that we stopped again Sunday afternoon on our way out of town. We even bought some "Kane Gear", T-Shirts that were kinda cool! Friday evening we met and chatted with some nice locals. Sunday we grabbed a quick beer, watched part of the football game and ordered the soft pretzels with cheese as a snack. Both bartenders were attentive and friendly and the decor is neat, their beer names are on saw blades and their beer flights are on logs of wood. They do have seating indoor and out, a few tables out front and a back area. We will be back!

Can never go wrong with getting the 6 glass sampler. Great atmosphere and the wine is excellent for a local winery. So many flavors and tastes to choose from.

The alcohol here is really excellent, and is comparable to very high end brands. We asked about the informal tour and got to hear all about how they make their rum, vodka, and gin from one of the owners. Lots of fun! We got to try most of their products and were very impressed with all of them— walked away with three bottles more than we planned on ????. Great staff and owners. Hope to be back!!
