Whether you are local or from out of town, you should make the time to go see this memorial. It's beautiful and quiet. You will also find the Montford Point Marines, Beirut and 9/11 Memorials on the same grounds. Everything is easy to get to and is accessible for people in wheelchairs, scooters and/or families with strollers.

Walton's Distillery is a craft distillery making Moonshine, Whiskey and Bourbon. It is a full production facility with daily activities related to the mashing, fermentation, distillation and bottling of spirits. Tours offer a very thorough understanding of the process and the unique experience of seeing a functioning moonshine still. Free tastings of all Walton's products are offered and the facility has a gift shop which has lots of antiques and souvenirs.
This is a really neat tour, a lot of information that was very interesting. Person giving the tour and presentation knew the information well. Probably wouldn’t be interesting for young children but our teenager though got it was cool.

We took a trip here for homeschool and to other military places to teach the boys about the sacrifices that so many people have made for their freedom. we also had the privilege of seeing the traveling Vietnam Wall the same day. What an honor to meet the men and women who served at that time. Their motor cycle parade was quite a contrast to the quiet of the Lejeune Memorial.

What a surprise !. My husband and I truly enjoyed the Lynwood Park Zoo experience. Make sure you wear comfortable rugged shoes to walk through and explore. A nice place to bring visiting relatives who love animals .

We spent a while here looking for a couple of specific things: a refinished coffer table and a small table for our back porch. We got both for $100 total. Bargains to be had here!

As soon as we walked through the front door we were hit by the smell of stale cigar smoke. It was very strong and overwhelming. I could tell the place appeared to have a lot of furniture. I don't know if the cigar smoke smell is always there but it drove us away that day.

Not sure why it on this list. I don't consider a mall "something to do." We had to pick up a couple of things here. It is nice enough, a little on the small side compared to the ones at home.
