Cloncurry is the birthplace of the royal Flying Doctor Service. John Flynn Place Museum celebrates the work of Reverend John Flynn and the wonderful pioneers who worked with him. Listen to a recorded conversation between a station and the flying doctor base. Learn about Alfred Traeger and his invention of the wireless pedal radio. View the artwork in the Fred McKay Art gallery.

We thought we would stay a day or two but when we got there we were confronted with hundreds of campers with the same idea, so we had to move on to Mary Kathleen which was great. Clem Walton dam is a beautiful fresh water lake built by the Mary Kathleen mine company years ago.. Apparently full of fish and in particular red claw yabbies. A great place to stay but not in the busy season.
