Very stately and beautiful. So well maintained. Easy to travel thru. My husband and I attended a funeral There in October 2017 and were very impressed with the grounds and the funeral service,

$2 for parking. A few covered vendor buildings. 50% of said vendors carry the same sunglasses/watches/hats/tshirts etc etc.
Washrooms are not too clean and get worse as the morning progresses.
Decent variety of fruits and veggies. Prices vary from vendor to vendor. Also, check your change. One young lady had to ask what the change was from a $20 for a $7 purchase. Another gave us $5 back on a $4 purchase paid with a $10.
Some of the “farm fresh” seem to have been picked at the Wynn Dixie farm.....
We go once a year, it’s enough for us.
PS : Please do not buy puppies at the Flea Market. Bad breeding invites huge vet bills

The Seminole tribe defeated the U.S. Army here.
I had no clue that this State Park existed. I came across it when looking online for WWII information. My nephew and I attended for the WWII reenactment. We also took the time to explore the State Park and learn more about the Seminole War. It was very educational and inspired me to learn more about the State of Florida's history!

We offer 2 hour Guided horseback trail rides in the beauty of central Florida, that cover parts of a 20,000 acre forest track. We take riders from school age to 99, from first timers to those who have owned. We limit the number of riders to 4,and keep the ride as personal as possible by not mixing groups,so please call for an appointment time for your ride. As a working ranch, we also offer lessons, lease, and a few horses for sale. Rides that are 3 or more hours have a scheduled stop at a local restaurant where you can buy your lunch and then continue for the rest of the ride. As an interactive activity, guest who wish, may help with the unsaddling and washing of their horse at the end of the ride. Come get away from the city for a day and see the real Florida. Rates start at $70.00, plus tax and wrangler tip, for the 2 hour ride per horse.

OK, so we knew the teaching zoo would be limited in animals, but it seemed like a good excursion for a cold afternoon. Both proved true, but the really exciting part of the equation was the interest and passion of the tour director! He was wonderful and told us much about the animals, their habitats, and other zoological tidbits. Great for adults and kids alike and while, it may not be the San Diego Zoo, it has its own charm.

Named after Major Robert Armstrong, this fort was constructed in 1836 by a detachment of Tennessee volunteers. Used during the Second Seminole Indian War as a supply base. Nothing remains except this roadside monument. Nice piece of Florida history but not worth going out of your way to see. Dade Battlefield Historic State Park, however, is right up the road. Now that's totally worth a visit!
