I visited this beach on friday takes arouns 2 hours from Yogyakarta city center by car, the road was good but quite small. You can see lot of rocky hills along the trip. The beach was good and clean, the situation was very quite because I visited on the weekday, but avoid on weekend because it will be more crowded

Very beautiful beach in Yogyakarta and not easy to reach it because the road is not big and good from the main road. Better like this. Hidden beach and beautiful!

Te beach is located in Gunung Kidul regency, Yogyakarta province. Quite far from the city, around 90 minutes of driving. The road is nice, but surely you need special skills to conquer the steep road. But, once you get there, i believe all of the fight paid off! The beach is small, less than 100 meters wide, but very very pretty. Between two beautiful cliffs, laid down white sands and turquoise waters. The sun is warm, not too hot. You can try to sail the water by renting some of the fishermen's boat (for IDR 100K/trip, quite expensive for such a short one). Only 2 of them are for rent though. Or the best way to enjoy the beach is by swimming. If you travel with small children, and still wanna enjoy swimming the water, there are some sandy niche near the cliff that is just like small pool. Not so deep, very safe for babies. And when you're hungry after sunbathing/swimming, just head to one of the seafood stall near the parking lot. There's also a fish market if you wish to bring some fresh seafood home. Same price. Fresh or cooked (lol). Try the lobster and sea catfish. Super good. And affordable. At this moment, the beach is not popular among the tourist yet. So except during holiday season, it's not so crowded. Let's keep it that way ????????
