The Hawk Conservancy Trust is an award winning visitor attraction set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 130 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying displays in one of the three flying arenas, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can meet a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays. The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity with a mission to conserve birds of prey. The Trust has worked in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey for many years.
I used my Birthday Gift Voucher yesterday to visit the Trust and my wife and I came away raving about the place. The site is well laid out with visitors facilities and shop at the front of the site and various birds to see in a number of different aviaries and enclosures beyond. There was ample parking for us but as we went on a week day the Trust was not that busy so it might be different at the weekend. We were treated to interesting talks by enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable staff and stunning flying displays from a variety of birds of prey, including eagles, owls and vultures. In the case of the latter, the Trust are particularly keen to educate people about the plight of vultures in the wild and to improve their public image. Although the staff were great it was our feathered friends who were the stars. A great Birthday Gift.

Treerunners is an exciting, challenging and sometimes demanding activity that uses zip lines, snowboards and tarzan swings as well as other challenges to get you from tree to tree. Set in a beautiful oak forest, it is the perfect day out for families, birthday parties, hens, stags, first dates (or last) and school trips. You don’t have to go up with the kids! (unlike other courses). On both our Junior course and Adult course we use safety systems that make it impossible to unclip from the safety line which leaves you free to either join them or chill out with a coffee on the ground.

We opened our doors to the public 38 years ago and were one of the first ever farm parks in the country. We are now open all year round, with a massive indoor play barn with different areas for different age ranges. There’s lots of outdoor play as well, including the Little Farmers Driving School. Throughout the day there are animal handling and feeding activities for children to get involved in. Meerkat Mansion is our latest addition making a Farm-Tastic day out! We are so proud that we have people visit us from all over the country, employ over 60 people, run a quality restaurant – welcoming thousands of families 7 days a week and have won several awards. We hope you have a wonderful day and a massive thank you from us for making it all possible!
We take our little 2 year old here regularly and have done over the last 2 years, it’s rite on our door step and brilliant fun for all, sometimes we just pop up there with him for a play in the soft play or others for a full morning/afternoon out to see and feed the animals and have fun in the soft play, there is plenty to do and all the staff are friendly with the added bonus of a great little cafe which does some good food and cakes. I would highly recommend a visit especially if your local.

Situated on the River Anton, a tributary of the Test, the historic market town of Andover boasts two museums in the same building. Andover Museum, telling the story of the town and surrounding area, opened in 1981, and it was joined in 1986 by the Museum of the Iron Age, which tells the story of nearby Danebury hillfort. Grade II listed, the museum building started life as a Georgian townhouse in the mid 18th century. Evidence of this can be seen in the fine staircase, wooden panelling and decorative fireplaces. In the 1840s, the building was purchased by local philanthropist Martha Gale who gifted it to Andover Grammar School. The brick extension that houses the Museum of the Iron Age was added in the 1880s.
My 11 year old & I visited today as he has some homework on how the Romans changed Andover. One of the staff spent half an hour with us, sharing his extensive knowledge. Luckily for us his area of expertise is The Romans. My son now has an absolute wealth of knowledge to use for his homework. It’s also fed his interest in history which was lovely to see. I wish I’d got his name but I’m very grateful to the guy who spent all that time with us & explained in an age appropriate way. He also went off to find another piece of information which he then came & found us to share it. Everything was also covid safe & I did not have any concerns about needing to take any unnecessary risks whilst there.

While visiting Andover for an overnight stay, hubby and I visited here (02.08.2020) Wow ❤️ Just beautiful. We parked and walked the paths, alongside the lakes. Seeing wildflowers and all kinds of bird life was lovely. It was already a beautiful day with the sun shining. We had our sandwiches and drinks packed and were blown away with how pretty it all was. We loved seeing the Swans and Signets. We are going to visit again but this time with our daughter.

Riverside Bowl is a entertainment venue for Andover and the surrounding area, it is not just a Bowling venue it also offers Glo-Golf, and Amusements, together with a bar and the free use of stylish new meeting rooms for local community groups.
We've had a great visit playing bowling and glow golf. Staff were all friendly and seemed to be happy to be back at work. It wasn't busy with alternate lanes closed and measures put in place to keep us all safe. I watched after the family left and the whole area was cleaned extremely thoroughly. New arcade games. Nice to see families having a good time once again. Thank you to all the staff for allowing that to happen. ????
