Hidden gem! Interesting and beautiful. Staff does a great job organizing and conducting the cave tour. Our granddaughter was amazed seeing a real cave as well as the waterfall right down the road. It was a gorgeous fall day for exploring all the surroundings in Blanchard Springs and Mountain View.

Come experience the newly renovated Melba Theater on historic Main Street Batesville! The Melba is a movie theater and concert venue. Movies shown are 2nd run and tickets are only $4!
Highly recommend - treat yourself and family to a nostalgic movie experience. Very friendly, cozy, and great popcorn, too! It was a blast to take my teenagers to the Melba. I remember going there as a teen- great then...even better, now!

State park featuring Arkansas' largest spring with a flow of 9 millions gallons of water hourly.
This park is beautiful with tremendous photo opportunities. Excellent picnicking, an excellent railroad history museum, superb Visitor Center, and a national fisheries aquarium which was fascinating. There's a lot of history here and story that's interesting. Thank you Arkansas for maintaining it. T&L Bowling Green

The Ozark Folk Center is a people place, dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of traditional Ozark Mountain crafts and music.Visitors can see presentations and demonstrations of the Ozark crafts and music, living history enactments and other special events that highlight this lifestyle. Apprentice and workshop programs pass these skills of the Ozark people to a new generation. As you visit the Folk Center, make your first stop the General Store near the parking lot. From here, buses will take you to the top of the Folk Center's hill to the Ozark Folk Center Theater and the Crafts Village. Stay in one of The Cabins and Dry Creek (60 units) The center also offers a restaurant, the Smokehouse in the Craft Village, conference/meeting facilities for groups large and small and specializes in business retreats and family reunions.
Awesome place to visit! So many helpful and informative artists. Want to go back already. Many thanks to the printer (oh how I love books and the printed word!), the broom maker, the beeswax soap and candle maker, the textile expert and the docent at the log cabin for your time, knowledge and joy of your crafts!

Site of Arkansas’s first post office, courthouse and land office. Davidsonville faded away close to 15 years after being established in 1815. A park with camping, lake and river fishing, trails, pavilions, playgrounds and picnic areas surrounds Trappers Lake. The visitor center features a replica 1820’s hunter-trapper flatboat, interactive virtual tour of the historic town, and exhibits that explore the history of Davidsonville and life on the Arkansas frontier. The campground has 20 (12 water, 50-amp electric, sewer and 8 water, 50-amp electric) campsites.
The staff has done a great job preserving history through recreating the flat bottom boat that you can walk onto to see what life would be like on the river to the artifacts that were recovered during excavations. We enjoyed walking through the village and imagining what it would be like to live there. Teresa was very friendly and a joy to visit with.

you won’t even find sufficient amount of pictures and infos on Google about this place, but it will surely unwind and unplug your family beyond your expectations. I took some pictures and short videos of crown point lake from different places and time, using an iPhone, with no lighting or color editing at all. With no hustle and bustle, you will notice the colors of sky, clouds, trees, water and stars are constantly changing, so are the sound of wind, birds, water, crickets and children. If you stay a few days, this place will subtly remind and embrace your existence and more so, it’ll gently remind you the existence of God— more than a lot of sermons I’ve heard. Crown point resort is no where near a 5 star hotel, but their comfortable log houses are perfectly blended in the nature. The private beach will make you forget about time, there were never more than 2-3 families to share with. We reserved a log house for a whole week and arrived 2 days later, just to leave it vacant and make sure the house is virus free, but we found out that they do skip a week of reservation after a guest check out, and they skip a door for check in as well, very very cautious. I hope likeminded people will enjoy this hidden gem, while I also hope this hidden keep being so private and intimate. by the way, horseshoe bend was awarded the safest city in Arkansas in 2018. People are very friendly here, when we did grocery shopping in a Local market, a handsome young lad who works for the market pushed the cart and helped loading our groceries in our car. My boys repeat “people are nice here” everyday.
