Peach Creek Vineyards

While on my way to the presidential library in College Station, TX, I stopped at Bee Weaver's in Navasota for a honey tasting. While there one of the staff suggested that I stop at Peach Creek Vineyards since I was along my route. I arrived just as the owners were opening so I was the only one there, had a wonderful wine tasting as well as visit with the owner, Donna. This property belonged to her grandfather and she turned it into a vineyard where people can bring their own food, sit outside around the bonfire and visit. Some nights have live music. The pond has ducks. It's a really lovely community spot! Love this place!

New to Aggieland, I found this memorial thoughtful and a fitting tribute to the lives that were lost in that terrible accident. We went at dusk and thought the lighting added an even greater dimension to the memorial.

Does it all very well ... a fully equipped bar, extensive menu, very comfortable movie seats with silent bell to request service, and free (with validation) parking ... very friendly and knowledgeable staff ... Alex S, our bartender, was top notch and made several good suggestions for the beer and the entrees ... pleased with the kale salad and then buttered pretzels during the movie were outstanding ... we started our tab in the bar and it seamlessly followed us to our movie seats

Santa's Wonderland certainly deserves its name. You can ride through a winding course of spectacular lights in a horse drawn carriage. There is a petting zoo and lots of quaint shops with eats, hot chocolate, and Christmas displays. It has an overall cowboy Santa feel to it. A crackling fire in the central fire pit is great for warming yourself up in between activities. Ample restroom facilities!

Perrine Winery

Small batch artisan winery co-located with New Republic Brewing Co & Rio Brazos Distillery. Live music Friday and Saturday nights, food trucks

I visited the Perrine Winery tasting room on a Saturday. They had a wonderful selection of types of wines. My favorites are the sweet wines - Pomegranate, Raspberry chocolate, and Raspberry orange. Those are a rapturous experience in a glass. The couple that runs the winery is very knowledgeable and great at suggesting wines you might enjoy tasting when you tell them in general what you like. They also have a some fine chocolates at the front counter to complement your wine selection. This particular day they had a BBQ truck outside catering delicious BBQ with sides and desserts. Perrine is small but intimate. It's a must visit for out of towners.
