The beaches are a huge draw, but there’s so much more to do in this Malaysian hotspot. Frolic with the delicate residents of a butterfly farm, then explore the fragrant landscape of tropical spice garden and fruit farms. The massive collection of dolls, games and models at the Toy Museum brings joy to kids and kids at heart. Save some energy for the Night Market, a lively scene of stalls where good-natured bargaining skills come in handy.

Spent a 4 night getaway here to celebrate our 20 year anniversary at the Rasa Sayaong Resort with friends and loved every minute. Rooms were very spacious and we looked out over the grounds to the pool area from the balcony which had a private outdoor bath you could fill and sit and enjoy the view. No problem with the food... tried a few different places outside the resort but inside the restaurant while a bit more expensive of course, was just fine as well. Stayed in the Rasa Wing which has its own pool that is kids free and we took advantage of the kids free Afternoon High Tea each day in the lounge. There are activities available like par 3 golf course and massages etc and outside there are market type stalls all along the road just up from the resort. We spent a nice evening wandering along the street looking at the stuff which is typical tourist trap items :-) The resort is located on Batu Feringghi beach and is only around 15 mins in a taxi to George Town which is worth a day trip.

My Wife and I decided to try the massage here as we stay in Lone Pine which is very convenient for us to make reservation. The Balinese massage was good and the ginger tea after the session was refreshing (hot and spicy). Only one comment is that the smell of the essential oil, not sure is it too strong as I sneezed and had runny nose after the session.

The fruit garden is truly amazing. A unique opportunity to sample nature and see up close what your food looks like and where it comes from. With over 150 species growing in the beautiful hill top farm. A guided tour explains (with expert advice) about the different types of fruit and how long they grow, their origins etc. A tour is a very worthwhile addition to your Penang holiday experience. My wife and I truly loved it and would highly recommend. We combined it the trip to the nearby Butterfly farm and made it a double date. After the tour you get a fruit drink and an opportunity to sample the organic produce of the farm. The farm also sells their own products such as organic coffees, cosmetics, honeys and teas etc. Truly awesome. A nature with some 'extra nature' date was just perfect. Thanks.

This was just outside our hotel. We walked every night and explored the market and ate food. Very easy to navigate. Only thing is you end up walking on the road as the stalls are on the pavement. Loved it

Nice beach with clean water, rocks and shady, verdant trees on parts of the shore and all over the distant hill. There are parking spots, a clean toilet for RM 40 cents and showers for RM1. The road is curvy and hilly. Definitely a very pleasant drive.
