Sittingbourne is an industrial town situated in the Swale district of Kent in south east England, 17 miles (27 km) from Canterbury and 45 miles (72 km) from London. The town sits beside the Roman Watling Street, an ancient British trackway used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons and next to the Swale, a strip of sea separating mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey. The town became prominent after the death of Thomas Becket in 1170, since it provided a convenient resting point on the road from London to Canterbury and Dover.

Speedway Racing – Mondays at Central Park Stadium. It’s a pure adrenalin rush as speedway riders’ race against each other on 500cc bikes which can accelerate from 0-60 quicker than a F1 car, with NO BRAKES, NO GEARS, NO FEAR!!! Two teams of seven riders race against each other over 15 heats, with 2 riders from each team in every heat, racing around a 268 metre oval circuit. Accelerating into the bends at 60mph then flicking out their rear wheel is a sight to be seen!!! The winner earns his team 3 points, second place gets 2 points, and 3rd gets 1 point. It's fast, it's furious, it's family entertainment and it's here at your local track!
As a family we have been to watch the speedway a few times. We have always found the stadium to be great family friendly fun. We can have a bite to eat, something to drink whilst we watch the most exciting sport in Kent. It seems to attract everyone from the very young to the very old, male & female. If you’ve not been before your in for a great treat.

Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit in Sittingbourne, Kent is one of the country's premier outdoor floodlit karting circuits. Featuring an 1100m MSA licensed circuit we can tailor events for a circle of friends, a multi-national company or a group of children! If you have any particular requests that you cannot find in our site, please let us know and we will try to help. Open daily all year round. All activities must be booked in advance.
Attended a pre-booked karting session on a cold Saturday morning with two children. They were taken to the karts after registration and a safety briefing and over the next two hours they were shown and taught the best ways to race karts. Advised on handling the karts and asked to study the track. Excellent attention to detail from the instructors bearing in mind there were a group of mixed abilities. They took my two with limited experience and taught them lots whilst still being able to race and do timed laps. Lap times published on the circuit website so those of the family who didn't attend could see their performance. It was a cold day so I sat in the Bayford Meadows diner and enjoyed a reasonably price hot chocolate and breakfast bap. Service in the diner was a bit hurried and lacking some service but the lady told someone else she was busy and on her own. Do not let this detract you from the brilliance of the karting team (the main reason for going). I left with the same buzz as the kids did, and wanting to get a group of friends together to book ourselves some time out on the track too! Thank you for the attention and tuition from the team. Easy to find, with lots of free parking and helmets, gloves and overalls provided free!

So much fun for kids and parents alike! We created gifts for grandparents and Christmas decorations. I brought my 4 year old and 2 month old and the staff were amazing with both...helping my eldest with his creation and manipulating my youngest to create perfect handprints on the memorabilia. Much recommended, especially for when soft play is open again! It’s hard to keep a 4 year old and still!

Visited here recently with my partner. There are various trails to walk around, a lake, sculptures dotted around, play area for kids etc. Very nice place and if you walk away from the main area of the park (where lots of people have picnics and play ball games) it is a lot less crowded
