Surrounded on all sides by snow-capped peaks and set at the narrow head of a deep valley, Ouray touts itself as the "Switzerland of America." With no nearby ski area to attract the tourism of other alpine Colorado towns, Ouray has kept much of its authentic turn-of-the-century charm. The whole town is registered as a Historic District and includes many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Its free Ice Park attracts amateur and pro ice climbers from around the world.

The architecture of the building where the spa is located is just beautiful. You are greeted warmly as soon as you enter the spa for your appointment. Barb was my Reiki therapist for my session. She took the time to get to know my needs, and I left feeling inspired and more able to listen to my body. Schedule a session, and I do not think you will be disappointed.

Strike up your Adventure! The Bachelor-Syracuse Mine Tour walks you 1,500 feet horizontally into Gold Hill, rich in gold, silver, and other precious metals. Guests are at all times accompanied by a thoroughly trained guide who has first-hand experience working the mine. The guides are prepared to answer questions and eager to share the legend and lore of the mine. While you're here enjoy our Miners Breakfast!
After donning hard hats, we embarked on an easy, flat path into the mine and had an enjoyable time listening to the guide talk about the miners and the mining process.

We visited based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. Set in the old miner's hospital, it's three floors and so many exhibit rooms including a mine simulation in the basement. Don't miss the florescent minerals in the basement. The medical/dental exhibits are sufficiently creepy to make you grateful for modern day. Don't miss the link to the Hope Diamond. We spent about three hours there. One of the very best museums we have ever visited. A must see!!

Not a restaurant. Not a public restroom. This is heart of true independent, individual, free, American brewery! A must come and see if you want to experience how a true tasting room is supposed to be.

A spa sitting on a natural hot spring that provides visitors with a full range of spa activities or simply the chance to soak.
Great place for any occasion! The staff was attentive - especially Brenda. She knew the occasion we were there for and made sure to help us enjoy every amenity. You will feel spoiled with the soothing mineral spring water. I love that they list the composition of each mineral in the water, complete with their healing properties, in their guest book in the room.
