It isn't hard to figure why The Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians (popularly referred to as Cathedral Church here) is one of the major tourist attractions in Shillong. Perched on a hill, the Cathedral is one of the most beautiful churches. It has high arches and stained glass windows which add to its grandeur. Directly below, carved out of the hill is the Grotto Church (which gets all decked up and strung in lights for Christmas - the best time to visit the city). It has been accorded status of a pilgrimage centre, with services every Wednesday the year round. It's got a huge campus that houses a school among other institutions. Give it an hour to stroll around and explore - you won't be disappointed.

The Evening Club, with origins from 1958, now re-opens in 2018 as a performance venue for live music while serving drinks and food inspired by local culture and music history. Accompanied by vintage vinyl records, we also pay tribute to the pioneers of the Shillong music scene. Swing by and be a part of this new chapter.

We entered the museum at 9.30 am...we showed our Identification card and then Armed force police allowed us to enter. Its a really great place where almost everything about the life of Army, their posts, uniform, aircrafts, badges etc are preserved. An interesting place to visit.

Cloud 9, the rooftop nightclub in Hotel Centre Point, Shillong lives up to its name, literally and figuratively. Taking Shillong from the sleepy little town it was and putting it on the map of the most vibrant, happening places in the country has been Cloud 9's mission since Day 1. The pioneer of night life in the Northeast, Cloud 9 is almost solely responsible for Shillong coming of age as the unrivalled entertainment and lifestyle capital of the region. On first impression, Cloud 9 appears to have the mellow ambience of a class lounge, but the vibrancy of the music, the verve and fervour of Shillong's party-animals as they converge on the dance floor transforms into the perfect place to let your hair down as well. The lounge is spread over 5000 sq. Feet has the seating capacity of over hundred and floating footfalls of 250-300. The exquisite and spacious decor of the lounge is tempered with the woodwork that gives Cloud 9 a cozy feel, and makes it the ideal place to unwind. The food, served from the delectable Pan-Asian cuisine of Skye Asia and the drinks of one's choice undoubtedly makes Cloud 9 THE destination for those who want to indulge themselves. Or if not for any other reason-do it to experience Cloud 9. Today, Cloud 9 has evolved as a Hybrid Lounge by showcasing finest talents in Music (Bands & DJ's) & Art (Paintings & Photography) while offering a wide array of international cocktails and a fine dining experience of Pan Asian cuisine and club music in Cloud 9.
