Educational cooking classes to promote dalmatian cuisine, culture and history of food in the association "gozba" (feast).
We startet the day with a coffee and a nice talk with Ivana about food and other topics. We went to the fishmarket, butcher and greenmarket afterwards. It was very relaxed and Ivana made some good recommandations depending on what we wanted to eat. We then had a nice walk through Trogir to Ivana's lovely and colorfull home. As soon as we arrived, there was no electricity in the house. Ivana played it cool and professional and we could enjoy a very tasty starter. After that, the electricity worked again and we could start cooking. During this cooking adventure Ivana was very organized in her small kitchen and gave us some stuff to do. We managed to cook 4 meals and 1 dessert simultanously. We really enjoyed the meals which we have never eaten before. We had enough for a full and round stomach (perfect beach body) and also some leftovers for the cat. All in all we had a lot of fun with Ivana and highly recommend this cooking class for everyone with a good sense of humor and for everyone who enjoys simple, tasty meals like we know them from our grandma's :) Thank you Ivana for this amazing experience. Hope to see you again some time! Greetings from Germany Kathi and Chris

Hi, my name is Sandra and I'm a licensed tourist guide for Split-Dalmatia and Sibenik-Knin Counties. I'm also an English and Italian language teacher. I’m really in love with my hometown Trogir, but a lot of the places in these countie offer a unique experience. Let’s mention just the most famous ones: Split, Salona, Sibenik and Krka National Park. On a walking tour with me you can hear stories and legends only locals know. There are so many things to see and so much history to soak up that you will fall in love with these places. I’ll do my best to make you see the most of all the places. Ciao, mi chiamo Sandra ed io sono guida turistica per la provincia Split-Dalmazia e Sibenik-Knin. The historic walled city of Trogir, Croatia is located on a small island between the Croatian mainland and the much larger island of Clovo. Trogir is also located about 20 miles west of Split, Croatia on the coast of the Adriatic Sea (a very easy day trip from Split). The center of this small town has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Venetian architecture and many of its original 13th – 15th century buildings are still intact. I visited this impressive walled city with my wife on a Saturday in late October and really enjoyed it. While the number of my fellow tourist was annoyingly high, I still enjoyed walking around Trogir. The city is very compact, and it appears that a lot of people still live here. The medieval streets are tiny and wind all around the island (I got momentarily turned around a couple of times). Highlights of this town include the historic city center square, the Fortress Kamerlengo, the entry gates and the small Cathedral. The best part is just walking around the skinny roads that wind in every direction. The town seemed safe and there did not even appear to be any pick pockets around. Overall, I enjoyed touring this walled city and highly recommend it if you are visiting Croatia. The next time I would like to stay here so I could see it in the morning and evening when most of the day trippers are gone.

Day or night this is always a popular and festive area to visit. There are often traditional Klappa groups singing in the afternoon and evening. Many people wandering through and stopping at the various bars, cafes and gelato shops. Great place to sit back and relax, people watch and have a drink or snack. A must-visit when in Trogir and you'll probably walk through at least a dozen times while you are in the city. A wonderful jewelry shop is located here as well that carries traditional silver-work as well as certified red coral pieces.

The cathedral, called St. John among local citizens, is the highest building in Trogir, dominating the area.
Reports to be over 1000 years old this charming church overlooks the Old Town of Trogir and the central square where live music, cafes, restaurants are a plenty.
