Back in July 2019, I started taking mat pilates classes here three times a week. I came with a chronic low back and sciatica issue. Lots of discomfort and restricted movement. By January 2020, my issues have cleared up by a good 90%, thanks to the professionalism, care and FUN with instructors Page (owner), Jenni and Keri. I highly recommend these classes if you are ever in Nosara. It's a beautiful studio, with ALL the props. Plus they have reformers and other equipment that can help build strength and tone and improve your health, overall. At this time I am writing, we are all "shelter-in-place", but you can find Page doing her classes, LIVE on Facebook, at her personal page: Page Sieffert - every Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 8:00am CST!

The concept of The Beauty Bar Nosara was built on a dream that two ladies shared for over a decade. Califa Rojas and Melissa Chong met while on holiday at a surf retreat in Costa Rica. The ladies found maintaining a beauty routine in the Jungle nearly impossible unless they were willing to travel to a city like San Jose. The other option was to go to a high-priced hotel spa, where they often found the atmosphere stuffy and uninviting. The ladies enjoyed surfing, driving quads , horseback riding and playing tennis. One day sitting alongside the Ocean, their souls and spirits were full of joy and light, until they looked down and saw that the jungle had wreaked havoc on their skin and nails. Feeling a bit rough they decided it was time create a beauty space in the jungle for women just like them.. The idea came into fruition quickly. The ladies would create a beauty boutique that was accessible, beautiful, fun and stylish. Everyone deserves to feel pretty and be pampered. Pura Vida!

I had a gel manicure and vitamin c facial with microdermabrasion - all fabulous! I was lucky enough to have the owner Melissa do my facial and it was the best. Professional and lovely products. I’ve had a lot of sun so the microdermabrasion and vitamin c were perfect. Very happy customer :-) Highly recommend.
