It was remote and wild, snow all over the roads and plains. Cold, bleak and beautiful. While the tourist attractions were closed for the winter, it was still possible to get a guided tour. We also hired a driver and vehicle for a couple of days from Chifeng, and this gave us freedom. We would love to go back and spend more time here - so much not yet explored
