8 Shopping Malls in Downtown That You Shouldn't Miss

August 22, 2021 Almeta Stockton

We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

The Path

This underground of maze of shops, restaurants, businesses etc is like a warm, magical city under the cold and frozen city above ground. My husband and I visited various sections of the path and it was quite enjoyable. You can spend hours exploring the path, and it’s a warm alternative to walking above ground in the cold!

Atrium on Bay

Reviewed By keisas2019 - Toronto, Canada

Quiet hustle of feet. No benches. Monster flowering plants. And opens mainly at 11am. Escalators. And three major restaurants. But I found a wonderful little cafe downstairs in the food court across from the CIBC. Parking downstairs. Try to get the early bird $17. Or else it’s $20. . And you don’t have to pay before returning to your car. You can pay at the bar. No little spot to tuck away for a private conversation. But lots of space to,walk without seeing anyone else.

Whenever we have friends from out of town visit, Queens Quay is one place wr bring them to. It's got attractive shops to meander around, good waterfront restaurants for lunch or snacks and there's the nearby ferries to Centre Island. There are also harbour cruises if you're so inclined. Have been on a dinner harbour cruise with friends and it was a leisurely few hours on Lake Ontario - a real treat!
