HUGE selection of souvenirs. I don't think I have ever seen so many of each item to choose from in one place before! There is an entire section for everything from shirts, caps, hoodies, to magnets and home decor, books. You name it, they probably have it! Go visit the Sea Life Center, have some lunch at Gold Rush Bistro, and then swing over to Alaska shop to get your souvenir's, then hit up the creamery for some desert, walk the paved Iditarod trail along the shore and look for harbor seals and otters. Great day in Seward!

Captain Jack's store is located right across from the "Caught in Seward Alaska" fish hanging sign and fish cleaning & filleting station at the boat harbor. Most of the local charter boat captains recommend Captain Jack's because they are so convenient after they filet your catch. BOTTOM LINE: These guys do an excellent job of vacuum packing & flash freezing your catch. They also can pack your fish in styrofoam shipping boxes for either checking in as "luggage" at the airport or by shipping by FEDEX directly from them. FEDEX charges a flat $8.50 per pound to ship to the lower 48 states. Captain Jack's charges $1.40 for vacuum packing and quick freezing. A large shipping box costs $22 that will hold to 50 lbs of fish (small sizes also available) plus a couple of gel ice packs for $4. They did a great job for us in preparing our order so we could checked them in at the airport. MY RATING: 9/10 If you want to ship your salmon or halibut home from Seward, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys.
Fine Art Photography Gallery located in the historic Brown & Hawkins Building. This building built in 1903, is on the National Historic Register and remained in the Hawkins family until 2019, when the Cobble family had the honor of taking over the care of this historic property. We hope our art, vision and love we have for Brown & Hawkins carries it into the next century.
