The sun almost always shines on St. Petersburg, the "Sunshine City" that enjoys an average of 361 days of clear skies per year. Combine that with 244 miles of glimmering coastline along Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, Boca Ciega Bay and the intra coastal waterways and you have one hot beach destination. Catch the sun, surf and sand at Ft. De Soto Park, or take a hike up the 37-mile Pinellas Trail. Enjoy a Devil Rays game during baseball season or escape to the shady oasis of the Sunken Gardens.

You have to take a ride down the blocks of Central Ave in St Petersburg Florida. We kept stopping to take pictures. Lucky for us we found spots to park. Beautiful art. This is a must see for the area

This is a classic bait shop where you can hours telling "fish stories" or just grab your bait and go! The Mastry family has been in St Pete for generations and the down home care and charm of the bait shop shows how mch they care about the community!

I lived in St. Petersburg many years ago and recently returned for a visit. The economic development, neighborhood revitalization are incredible! The Historic Kenwood neighborhood is gorgeous, so much energy and enthusiasm is being put in to bringing these beautiful homes back to their original splendor.

Despite a heavy construction going on on Central Ave, where they are building multiple medium-high condos and some serious high-rises, plus a long-term project of 'doing something' instead of the old, demolished pier, the city still lives high life and seems to enjoy it. I always love to visit the downtown area of St. Pete - Sundial, Beach Drive , Arts Museums, restaurants, art galleries, shops and much more - all this is there, and it looks beautiful! ... And I always look forward to coming back to the streets and parks, boutiques and AMC Sundial 20, and to take photos of this bustling city.
