Myself and my partner drive here from Thornhill most sundays for lunch. The food is superb and home cooked. A choice of meats all cooked to perfection and the honey roast parsnips are amazing! Staff very polite and helpful and always have a smile on their face. Mark the head chef should be proud!

We spent most of the day at Jackson Bay beach, which is a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic away from the hustle and bustle of Barry Island. The beach is flat with some rocks and there are great views across the channel. The cove is ideal for families who want an inexpensive day out or for those who want to enjoy the great outdoors. The walk down to the beach is quite steep, but worth it. Parking is available near to the access road to the beach.
