KwaZulu-Natal (/kwɑːˌzuːluː nəˈtɑːl/; also referred to as KZN and known as "the garden province") is a province of South Africa that was created in 1994 when the Zulu bantustan of KwaZulu ("Place of the Zulu" in Zulu) and Natal Province were merged. It is located in the southeast of the country, enjoying a long shoreline beside the Indian Ocean and sharing borders with three other provinces and the countries of Mozambique, Swaziland and Lesotho. Its capital is Pietermaritzburg and its largest city is Durban. It is the 2nd most populous province in South Africa, with slightly fewer residents than Gauteng.

First visit to South Africa and to Gwahumbe Game & Spa and would definitely stay there again. The staff at Gwahumbe were amazing and very accommodating. The chefs at Gwahumbe were really really good and made every single meal memorable. The game drives were full of fun and information with such phenomenal views and settings.

Situated on the boarder of Hluhluwe-Imfolozi. We are the first lodge to be built that close to the park Maputaland Adventures has begun the journey in creating an affordable lodge in the most ideal location in Zululand. The Lodge is the first of its kind as it is the only fully functioning lodge in the area and withing the local community. The Lodge is right on the fence line of Hluhluwe-Imfolozi. The Lodge has four separate chalets, each with king size beds or two double beds depending on your requirements. The rooms are spacious and look onto the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi park. They are eloquently decorated with a bar fridge and a spacious patio to view the big five. The camp has a beautiful bar and Lounge area, great for enjoying a few drink with friends or play board games with the family in the evenings. The dining room is a perfect setting for up to 20 people. Beautifully authentically South African cuisine is the order of the day. Game drives leave every morning and afternoon from the lodge. Or you can take a self drive into the park. We are able to pack you a scrumptious picnic basket for the day at your request. Special prices for South Africans
