Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

It's not nothing. We drive this pass to earn our first jeep badge however we were not prepared for the terrain because people say how easy it is. It was exciting and terrifying for those afraid of heights.

There are many ways to enjoy this valley which for you might include cattle drives, horseback riding, jeep tours, fishing, weddings, corporate team-building events, and hunting. Elk Glade is pleased to offer 2,000 acres of private land and 18,200 acres of leased lands.
Dawnielle and Jim were incredible guides! They taught us how to horseback ride in about 30 minutes and then we spent the morning on horseback doing a cattle drive in an amazing valley. Dawnielle cooked us a very nice lunch and then we were off again on the ATV's. My family and I loved the experience and it was so nice to spend the day enjoying being out in nature.

We took our 2016 Jeep Rubicon over Elwood Pass in July, 2017. There is lots of mud, rocks and bushes to get through. We crossed the river about 12 times. The scenery is Amazing. My husband was driving, I didn't care for the few straight down drop offs on the passenger side of the jeep but we survived. Plan on 5 hours if you take the whole trip from 160 to Summitville and back. There's a ghost town in Summitville that is probably fun to explore but it was raining pretty hard when we got to it.
