See the universe like never before through our powerful 2.3m tall mobile observatory! Explore beautiful star clusters and our neighbouring planets in exquisite detail, or the light from distant galaxies that travelled through space for millions of years before reaching your eyes. Imagine looking through the telescope at a bright star and discovering it is Saturn with its fascinating rings, or Jupiter, in such incredible detail that its coloured bands of storm clouds are clearly seen. Even the moon becomes an object of wonder, with its deep craters appearing close enough to touch! We offer regular Astronomy Experiences along Exmouth and the Margaret River region in Western Australia and unique All Night Dusk To Dawn Astronomy sessions and Astro-Glamping packages. We are passionate about sharing the beauty and wonder of our universe. You can find us selected locations in Western Australia, close to holiday destinations yet away from main city lights.

Many a happy hour was spent here by our entire family. Interactive exhibits, interesting video's, loads and loads of really fascinating pieces of Australian space history. Really a fantastic stopping point for anyone travelling the West Coast. I sincerely recommend that everyone take advantage of this marvellous museum, it is truly interesting, has a great little souvenir shop, and a comfy seated area with free tea and coffee for those who need to rest for a few minutes.

Our guide Renae was so informative and passionate about her country and her heritage. We learned so much. And the interpretative display area was really well done. Of course there is some confronting history, but Renae was really positive about accepting and moving forward. The display of local children's artwork was impressive as well as some professionally produced bronzes. The team at Gwoonwardu Mia should be and doubt are very proud of what they looking after and presenting to us all about their history and heritage.

Going forward into history. The Precinct was the original Port of Carnarvon, which comprised the One Mile Jetty, Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage, Lighthouse and the Carnarvon Tramway. Come and view the iconic One Mile Jetty, Explore the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage Museum, The Shearers Hall Of Fame, Visit the One Mile Jetty Interpretive Centre, Wander the Railway Station Museum, meander along one or all of the walktrails & refuel at the famous Sunsets Cafe.
What an amazing afternoon! For $10 you can explore the lighthouse keepers cottage where every room is filled with period objects. The heritage museum explaining the history of the region and a 1 hour movie exploring the HMAS Sydney loss and search to find. There is the Shearing Shed & Train Museum; plus lots of old vehicles in the yard. Also, there’s a short trail explaining the misery of the Aboriginals taken from family. Don’t miss this site

Sadie s an artist and this little shop front has a large range of her wares. Sadie’s art is unique and really reflects the beauty of Ningaloo. There is something for everyone here. Sadie was working there the day I popped in and she is as lovely as her art work.
