The Franklin Square Gallery is in the heart of the art scene in historic Southport, North Carolina, a rewarding and wonderful place to visit. With over one hundred artists displaying their paintings and pottery, you are sure to find the art you are searching for. WE’RE LOCAL. The member artists come from throughout southeastern North Carolina, from Wilmington to Pinehurst, and even to Myrtle Beach, bringing with them many different styles and techniques. The Associated Artists of Southport started the gallery in the seventies with only twelve members, in the former Southport school house and town hall. Over the years talented artists from the area discovered the site and made it their home. WE’RE A SHOWCASE FOR TALENT. Artists with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of styles have their work on display. There are paintings in oil, acrylic, and watercolor depicting local scenes or European villages. The 2-D art is also available in prints, notecards, and miniatures.

Owners are fascinating, love art and are very experienced. Art is thier passion. Personal transition to make if you have been looking at retail/corporate cookie cutter art to Tom Seaman's amazing sculptures. His photo books are illuminative of the many pieces he has done and are now on display in public buildings, land and private homes. His many varied life experiences including how he got into art full time are fascinating. Cheers to the artist who loves his craft and does exceedingly well with it.
